A. Removal of the Halogen Bulb
   (1) For the TELEFLEX runway turnoff light:
     (a) Remove the screw (12) and flat washer (13).
     (b) Remove the clamp (14).
     (c) Pull the lens (15) away from the optic support (9).
     (d) Put an TAPE - ADHESIVE to hold the mirror (10) in position on the optic support (9).
     (e) Remove the screws (16) and washers (17).
     (f) Carefully remove the halogen bulb (18).
   (2) For the HONEYWELL runway turn-off light:
     (a) Remove the screw (1) and the retainer (2).
     (b) Pull the lens (3) away from the optic support (9).
NOTE: Put an adhesive tape to hold the mirror (8) in position on the optic support (9).
     (c) Remove the screws (4) and washers (5).
     (d) Carefully remove the halogen bulb (7).
Subtask 33-43-11-420-054-A
B. Installation of the Halogen Bulb
   (1) For the TELEFLEX runway turnoff light:
CAUTION: WHEN YOU INSTALL THE HALOGEN BULB ON THE EQUIPPED MIRROR, MAKE SURE THAT THE PINCH SEAL END POINTS UP. IF THE INSTALLATION DIRECTION IS NOT CORRECT, THERE IS A RISK THAT THE BULB WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
CAUTION: USE ONLY CLEAN, LINT-FREE GLOVES WHEN YOU TOUCH THE BULB AND THE MIRROR.
     (a) Make sure that the pinch seal (11) end points up.
     (b) Put a new AIPC 33-43-11-02-050 HALOGEN BULB (18) in position.
     (c) Install the two washers (17) and screws (16).
     (d) Tighten the two screws (16) fully. Then tighten the two screws (16) a quarter turn more.
     (e) Remove the adhesive tape from the mirror (10).
     (f) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (g) If you touch the lens with your fingers, clean the surface of the lens (15) and the mirror (10) with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.
14SBA1) .
     (h) Use the AIR SOURCE 0.3 TO 0.7 BAR (5 TO 10 PSI)- FILTERED, DRY and dry the surface of the lens (15) and the mirror (10) with a low airflow.
     (i) Put the lens (15) in position on the mirror (10).
     (j) Put the clamp (14) with the chamfer behind the substitude halogen lamp and the brackets turned down, on the optic support (9) to safety the sealed beam.
1 If the clamp (14) is twisted, install a new AIPC 33-43-11-01-010 CLAMP (14).
     (k) Compress the clamp (14) with your hand to move the two brackets near each other and install the flat washer (13) and the screw (12).
     (l) Put a gage with a thickness of 8 +0 mm or -0.20 mm (0.3150 +0.0000 in. or -0.0079 in.) between the two brackets of the clamp (14).
NOTE: You can use a bulb handling tool-gage to measure the distance between the two brackets of the clamp (14).
     (m) Tighten the screw (12).
CAUTION: DO NOT USE THE BULB HANDLING TOOL TO TIGHTEN THE CLAMP SCREW. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR TO THE COMPONENTS IF THE BULB HANDLING TOOL BREAKS. USE THE CORRECT TOOL TO TIGHTEN THE CLAMP SCREW.
1 Tighten the screw (12) until the two brackets touch the gage without distortion.
     (n) Remove the gage.
   (2) For the HONEYWELL runway turnoff light:
CAUTION: WHEN YOU INSTALL THE HALOGEN BULB ON THE EQUIPPED MIRROR, MAKE SURE THAT THE PINCH SEAL END POINTS UP. IF THE INSTALLATION DIRECTION IS NOT CORRECT, THERE IS A RISK THAT THE BULB WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
CAUTION: USE ONLY CLEAN, LINT-FREE GLOVES WHEN YOU TOUCH THE BULB AND THE MIRROR.
     (a) Make sure that the pinch seal (6) end points up.
     (b) Put a new AIPC 33-43-11-02-050 HALOGEN BULB (7) in position.
     (c) Install the washers (5) and screws (4).
     (d) Tighten the screws (4). Tighten the screws (4) again a quarter turn more.
     (e) Remove the adhesive tape from the mirror (8).
     (f) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
CAUTION: USE ONLY CLEAN, LINT-FREE GLOVES WHEN YOU TOUCH THE BULB AND THE MIRROR.
     (g) Clean the surface of the lens (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.
08BBD1) .
     (h) Dry the surface of the lens (3) with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (i) Put the lens (3) in position on the mirror (8).
     (j) Put the AIPC 33-43-11-01-020 RETAINER (2) in position.
NOTE: If the retainer (2) is twisted, replace it.
     (k) Install the screw (1).
     (l) TORQUE the screw (1) to between 7 and 6 lbf.in (0.08 and 0.07 m.daN )
T.
     (m) Make sure that there are no signs of distortion of the retainer (2).
