A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the cockpit door is opened.

A. Visual Inspection
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the wires of the cable harness (2) are in a good condition.
Subtask 33-21-12-820-050-A (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the wires of the cable harness (2) are in a good condition.
B. Adjustment of Limit Switch 310LG
(1) Close the door.
(2) Measure the distance between the top of the door and the door frame.
(3) Add this distance to the 14.4 mm to calculate J1.
(5) Refer to J1 and adjust the limit switch.
(6) Close the cockpit door.

(2) Measure the distance between the top of the door and the door frame.
(3) Add this distance to the 14.4 mm to calculate J1.
NOTE: J1 is the distance between the lock nut (10) and the end of the roller (5).
(4) Open the door.(5) Refer to J1 and adjust the limit switch.
(6) Close the cockpit door.
C. Preparation of the Limit Switch
(1) Make sure that the roller (5) of the replaced limit switch (3) is turned 90 degrees to the groove.
(2) If not, put the roller (5) in the correct position as follows:
(a) Remove the nut (14) and the bolt (4) from the fork end (13).
(b) Disengage the roller (5) from the fork end (14).
(c) Push the fork end (13) carefully into the switch housing with a suitable tool until you feel resistance and hold.
(d) Turn the fork end (13) to 90 degrees and release it.
(e) Put the roller (5) in the fork end (13) and install the bolt (4) and the nut (14).
(f) Tighten the nut (14) correctly.
Subtask 33-21-12-420-050-A (1) Make sure that the roller (5) of the replaced limit switch (3) is turned 90 degrees to the groove.
(2) If not, put the roller (5) in the correct position as follows:
(a) Remove the nut (14) and the bolt (4) from the fork end (13).
(b) Disengage the roller (5) from the fork end (14).
(c) Push the fork end (13) carefully into the switch housing with a suitable tool until you feel resistance and hold.
(d) Turn the fork end (13) to 90 degrees and release it.
(e) Put the roller (5) in the fork end (13) and install the bolt (4) and the nut (14).
(f) Tighten the nut (14) correctly.
D. Installation of the Limit Switch 310LG
(1) Put the limit switch (3) together with the related adjustment nut (6) and the lock washer (7) in position on the switch bracket (8).
(3) Attach the limit switch (3) on the switch bracket (8) with the serrated washer (9) and the lock nut (10).

(5) Connect the wires of the cable harness (2) to the terminals of the limit switch (3).
(7) Put the switch bracket (8) and the bracket (12) into the slot of the cockpit wall (1) and attach them with the screws (11).
Subtask 33-21-12-865-052-A (1) Put the limit switch (3) together with the related adjustment nut (6) and the lock washer (7) in position on the switch bracket (8).
NOTE: Make sure that the outer tab of the lock washer (7) engages in the attachment hole of the switch bracket (8).
(2) Make sure that the roller (5) of the limit switch (3) is in the longitudial direction. (3) Attach the limit switch (3) on the switch bracket (8) with the serrated washer (9) and the lock nut (10).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(4) Safety the nut (6) and the lock nut (10) with lockwire (5) Connect the wires of the cable harness (2) to the terminals of the limit switch (3).
NOTE: For the correct connection refer to the table "Wire Connection to Connector Contacts" of the illustration.
(6) Make sure that the contacts, which are not used, are covered with PLUG - BLANKING, RED. (7) Put the switch bracket (8) and the bracket (12) into the slot of the cockpit wall (1) and attach them with the screws (11).
E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
