CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS WITH YOUR FINGERS. THE OILS FROM YOUR SKIN WILL QUICKLY CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE LAMP. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH THE LAMP GLASS, CLEAN IT WITH A LINT-FREE CLOTH.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Reading Light Bulb
(1) Captain / First Officer reading lights

Captain / First Officer Reading Light ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Install a new AIPC 33-12-12-01-040 BULB (3) in the socket (5).
(b) Install the socket (5) in the light unit (4) with the help of the two catches.
(c) Install the light unit (4) in the reading light (2).
(d) Put back the reading light (2) in its housing (1).
(2) Supplementary reading light

Supplementary Reading Light ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Install a new AIPC 33-12-12-02-020 BULB (3) in the socket (1).
(b) Install the cap (4) on the reading light body (2).

C. Installation of the Reading Lights
(1) Captain / First Officer reading lights

Captain / First Officer Reading Light ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

NOTE: To make installation easier you can open the window.

(a) Connect the female terminal lugs (8) to the male terminal lugs (9).
(b) Install the reading light holder (10) in its housing.
(c) Install the four washers (7) on the screws (11).
(d) Tighten the reading light holder (10) with the four attaching screws (11) and washers (7).
(e) Put the reading light (12) in its holder (10).
(2) Supplementary reading light

Supplementary Reading Light ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Install the reading light (8) on the panel (9).
(b) Attach the circlip (10) to the reading light (8).
(c) Connect the female terminal lugs (6) to the male terminal lugs (7).
(d) Tighten the QAD fasteners (5) of the panel (9).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
