Removal of the Nose Wheel Steering Gearbox P/N C24764000
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) On the nose wheel steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
Subtask 32-51-41-010-050-A 4. Procedure(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) On the nose wheel steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

A. Removal of the Gearbox (5)
(2) Install the tool M46196-100 PLATE-MOUTING AND ADJUSTMENT.
(a) Put the tool M46196-1-100 on the gearbox.
(b) Put the tool shaft in the drive slot of the gearbox.
(c) Install the pins M46196-3 to attach the tool M46196-1-100 to the gearbox.
(3) Remove the screws (1), the bushes (2) and the springs (3).
(4) Carefully remove the gearbox with the spacers (4) from the gear leg.
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU REMOVE THE GEARBOX, IT MUST HAVE THE TOOL M46196-100 ON IT.
(1) Remove the sensor 3GC (4GC) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-19-000-001). (2) Install the tool M46196-100 PLATE-MOUTING AND ADJUSTMENT.
(a) Put the tool M46196-1-100 on the gearbox.
(b) Put the tool shaft in the drive slot of the gearbox.
(c) Install the pins M46196-3 to attach the tool M46196-1-100 to the gearbox.
(3) Remove the screws (1), the bushes (2) and the springs (3).
(4) Carefully remove the gearbox with the spacers (4) from the gear leg.
