Subtask 32-42-00-860-100-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the panel 400VU, make sure that the landing gear control lever is in the DOWN position.
   (2) Make sure that the CAPT and F/O brake pedals are released.
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) On the panel 402VU, make sure that the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is at ON.
   (5) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • the landing gear control-lever
  • the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch
  • the brake pedals.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-42-00-040-057-D
A. Deactivation of the BSCU System 1 or 2
   (1) If there is loss of one BSCU system, on the upper ECAM DU, make sure that the BRAKES SYS 1 FAULT or BRAKES SYS 2 FAULT warning is shown.
     (a) Get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/L/G page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-009).
     (b) Print the trouble shooting data, the ground report, the ground scanning, the class 3 fault messages, and the Post Flight Report (PFR) of the related BSCU as follows:

- The BSCU1 or BSCU2 page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the TROUBLE SHOOT DATA indication.
- The TROUBLE SHOOT DATA page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the PRINT indication.

- Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
- The BSCU1 or BSCU2 page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the GROUND REPORT indication.
- The GROUND REPORT page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the PRINT indication.

- Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
- The BSCU1 or BSCU2 page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the GROUND SCANNING indication.
- The GROUND SCANNING page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the PRINT indication.

- Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
- The BSCU1 or BSCU2 page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the CLASS 3 FAULTS indication.
- The CLASS 3 FAULTS page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the PRINT indication.

- Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until you get the CFDS MENU page.
- The CFDS MENU page comes into view.
- Push the line key adjacent to the POST FLIGHT REP PRINT indication.

NOTE: It is important to keep these documents to do the maintenance of the BSCU in shop.
     (c) On the upper ECAM DU, if the BRAKES SYS 1 FAULT warning is shown:
  • Open, safety and tag the circuit breaker 2GG.
     (d) On the upper ECAM DU, if the BRAKES SYS 2 FAULT warning is shown:
  • Open, safety and tag the circuit breaker 4GG.
   (2) After deactivation of one BSCU system and before each flight:
  • On the MCDU, get access to the CFDS MENU page.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the CFDS indication.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the LAST LEG REPORT indication.
  • On the LAST LEG REPORT page, make sure that none of the following fault messages related to the L/G SYS DISAGREE caution message is recorded:

   (4) Make an entry in the log book to tell persons that the BSCU system 1 or 2 is deactivated.
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-42-00-860-101-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
