Removal of the Main Door Assy for Access
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.
1. Reason for the JobThis procedure is only applicable when the main door assy is removed for access. For the applicable procedure to remove the main door assy for replacement, Ref. TASK 32-22-11-000-001.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable NLG door.
4. Procedure(1) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable NLG door.
Subtask 32-22-11-020-055-A
A. Removal of the Main Door Assy
(1) Disconnect the applicable NLG main-door control-rod
(b) Remove the bolt (20) and disconnect the rod (15).
(2) Remove the nuts (2) and the bolts (8).
(3) Disconnect the bonding braids (7).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3) and (13), remove the nuts (4) and (14).
(5) Remove the washers (5) and (12) and the bolts (6) and (10).
(6) Remove the door (1).
(1) Disconnect the applicable NLG main-door control-rod
NOTE: Do not change the adjustment of the control rod (15).
(a) Remove the cotter pin (17) and discard it, remove the nut (16) and the washer (18). (b) Remove the bolt (20) and disconnect the rod (15).
(2) Remove the nuts (2) and the bolts (8).
(3) Disconnect the bonding braids (7).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3) and (13), remove the nuts (4) and (14).
(5) Remove the washers (5) and (12) and the bolts (6) and (10).
(6) Remove the door (1).
