Removal of the Lockstay Actuator Hoses
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
(5) Make sure that you obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hydraulic system.
Subtask 32-11-22-860-050-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(5) Make sure that you obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hydraulic system.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green and the Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
Subtask 32-11-22-010-050-A (1) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the Green and the Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable side-stay, at zone 733 or 743.

A. Removal of the Lockstay Actuator Hoses
(2) Disconnect the pipes (5) and (6).
(3) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nuts (4) and (7).
(4) Remove the nuts (4) and (7) and the washers (3) and (8). Remove the hoses (1) and (10) from the bracket assembly.
(5) Remove the washers (2) and (9) from the hoses (1) and (10).
(6) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (14) and (15).
(7) Remove the bolts (14) and (15) and the washers (13) and (16).
(8) Remove the hoses (1) and (10). Remove and discard the packings (12) and (18) and the backup retainers (11) and (17).
(9) Install a CAP - BLANKING on all the disconnected line ends.
Subtask 32-11-22-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Put a CONTAINER - CLEAN, APPLICABLE below the hose (1) and (10) connections. (2) Disconnect the pipes (5) and (6).
(3) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nuts (4) and (7).
(4) Remove the nuts (4) and (7) and the washers (3) and (8). Remove the hoses (1) and (10) from the bracket assembly.
(5) Remove the washers (2) and (9) from the hoses (1) and (10).
(6) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (14) and (15).
(7) Remove the bolts (14) and (15) and the washers (13) and (16).
(8) Remove the hoses (1) and (10). Remove and discard the packings (12) and (18) and the backup retainers (11) and (17).
(9) Install a CAP - BLANKING on all the disconnected line ends.
A. Removal of the Lockstay Actuator Hoses
(2) Disconnect the hydraulic pipes (14) and (15).
(3) Remove and discard the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - from the nuts (13) and (16).
(4) Remove the nuts (13) and (16) and the washers (12) and (17). Remove the hoses (1) and (2) from the bracket assembly.
(5) Remove the washers (11) and (18) from the hoses (1) and (2).
(6) Remove and discard the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - from the bolts (6) and (7).
(7) Remove the bolts (6) and (7) and the washers (5) and (8).
(8) Remove the hoses (1) and (2). Remove and discard the packings (3) and (10) and the backup retainers (4) and (9).
(9) Install a CAP - BLANKING on all the disconnected line ends.
