3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-11-19-941-060-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Install the ground safety locks on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position.

Subtask 32-11-19-081-051-A
A. Removal of the MLG Spring-Expander Tool
   (1) Loosen these items together:
  • the locknuts (17) and the studs (16)
  • the locknuts (19) and the screws (18)
  • the locknut (2) and the stud (3)
  • the locknuts (5) and the screws (4).
    If only one lockspring (9) or (14) is fitted then loosen the applicable locknuts, studs and screws.
   (2) Hold the 460005832 SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY and remove the safety pins (7) and the safety pin (1), then remove the 460005832 SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY.

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the safety barriers.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
