C. Get Access
   (1) Open the BULK cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
   (2) Set the SERVICE LIGHT switch to ON.
   (3) Remove the following cargo-compartment floor panels
(Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001):
     (a) FOR [87DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)
151SG.
     (b) FOR [88DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)
151SG 151DF.
     (c) FOR [89DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)
151DF 151GF.
     (d) FOR [90DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)
151GF.
4. Procedure
Subtask 30-71-56-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Heater Element (Example)
   (1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
   (2) Remove and safety the cable ties which attach the electrical wires of the related heater element (1).
   (3) Electrical connections:
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connections (3) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
   (4) If necessary, remove the related temperature sensor.
   (5) Removal of shrinkable sleeve:
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL THE SHRINKABLE SLEEVE. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBE.
     (a) Remove and discard the shrinkable sleeve (2) that safeties the two ends of the glass fiber tape (4).
   (6) Remove and discard the glass fiber tape (4) which attaches the heater element (1) to the waste water tube (5).
   (7) Remove the heater element (1).
