A. Safety Precautions
(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-832).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the right fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the right fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 30-21-24-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Removal of the Nacelle Anti-Ice Fan Case Thermocouple
(1) Remove the fan case thermocouple (1) 4001DD.
(a) Remove the three bolts (4), three washers (3) and three clamps (2) that attach the fan case thermocouple (1) to the electrical brackets on the fan case.
(b) Remove the two bolts (5) and two washers (6) that attach the thermocouple end of the fan case thermocouple (1) to the electrical bracket on the fan case.
(c) Disconnect the 4113VC-A electrical connector on the fan case thermocouple (1) from the connector on the fan case harness. Remove the fan case thermocouple (1).
(d) Put CAP - BLANKING on the 4113VC-A electrical connector and the connector on the fan case harness.
(2) Installation of the protection covers
(1) Remove the fan case thermocouple (1) 4001DD.
(a) Remove the three bolts (4), three washers (3) and three clamps (2) that attach the fan case thermocouple (1) to the electrical brackets on the fan case.
(b) Remove the two bolts (5) and two washers (6) that attach the thermocouple end of the fan case thermocouple (1) to the electrical bracket on the fan case.
(c) Disconnect the 4113VC-A electrical connector on the fan case thermocouple (1) from the connector on the fan case harness. Remove the fan case thermocouple (1).
(d) Put CAP - BLANKING on the 4113VC-A electrical connector and the connector on the fan case harness.
(2) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
