Removal of Flap Carriage 1
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear doors.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on panel 114VU to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 27-54-46-860-054-A (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear doors.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on panel 114VU to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Put the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever in the cockpit.
(3) Remove the safety collar from the circuit breakers 10CV and 12CV.
Subtask 27-54-46-865-055-A (1) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Put the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever in the cockpit.
(3) Remove the safety collar from the circuit breakers 10CV and 12CV.

D. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the flap track 1.
(4) Remove the inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-001).
(5) Remove the flap track beam No.1 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-001).
Subtask 27-54-46-010-054-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the flap track 1.
(4) Remove the inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-001).
(5) Remove the flap track beam No.1 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-001).
D. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the flap track 1.
(4) Remove the inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-003).
(5) Remove the flap track beam No.1 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the flap track 1.
(4) Remove the inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-003).
(5) Remove the flap track beam No.1 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-33-000-001).

A. Removal of Flap Carriage 1
(2) Remove the stop plate (4) from the flap track beam (7).
(3) Remove flap carriage 1 (5) from the flap track beam (7).
Subtask 27-54-46-020-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the bolts (1) and (2), the washers (3) and (9) from the nuts (6) and (8). (2) Remove the stop plate (4) from the flap track beam (7).
(3) Remove flap carriage 1 (5) from the flap track beam (7).
A. Removal of Flap Carriage 1
(2) Hold the bush (5) and remove the bolts (2) and (4).
(3) Remove the bush (5) from the flap track beam (3).
(4) Remove flap carriage 1 (1) from the flap track beam (3).
Subtask 27-54-46-020-051-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (2) and (4). (2) Hold the bush (5) and remove the bolts (2) and (4).
(3) Remove the bush (5) from the flap track beam (3).
(4) Remove flap carriage 1 (1) from the flap track beam (3).
A. Removal of Flap Carriage 1
(2) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
(3) Remove the stop plate (3) from the flap track beam (11).
(4) Disengage the quick-release pin (4) and remove the rod (5) from flap carriage 1 (8).
(5) Carefully remove flap carriage 1 (8) from the flap track beam (11).
Subtask 27-54-46-020-051-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the nuts (10) and the washers (9).(2) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
(3) Remove the stop plate (3) from the flap track beam (11).
(4) Disengage the quick-release pin (4) and remove the rod (5) from flap carriage 1 (8).
(5) Carefully remove flap carriage 1 (8) from the flap track beam (11).
A. Removal of Flap Carriage 1
(3) Carefully remove flap carriage 1 (4) from the flap track beam (6).
WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2). NOTE: Do not remove the barrel nuts (5).
(2) Remove the stop plate (3) from the flap track beam (6).(3) Carefully remove flap carriage 1 (4) from the flap track beam (6).
