A. Repair of the Wrapper
(1) Repair of damage type 1 (tears):
(a) Bond Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the tear(s).
(a) Attach a patch of Film-Insulation covering - - (Material No.14HQB1) with Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the damaged area.
Subtask 25-80-00-350-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Repair of damage type 1 (tears):
(a) Bond Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the tear(s).
NOTE: The adhesive tape must have an overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) with the edges of the tear(s) in all directions.
(2) Repair of damage type 2 (missing wrapper material): (a) Attach a patch of Film-Insulation covering - - (Material No.14HQB1) with Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the damaged area.
NOTE: The adhesive tape must have an overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) with the edges of the patch in all directions.
(3) Repair of damage type 3 (tears or missing wrapper material at the edge of the blanket): NOTE: This repair is only applicable if the maximum available width of the adhesive tape is sufficient for this task.
(a) Bond Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the damage. NOTE: The adhesive tape must have an overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) with the edges of the damage. The length of the tape must cover the other side of the blanket as shown in section B-B.
A. Repair of the Wrapper above Stringer 19 and below Stringer 19 on the Inboard Side
(a) Bond Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the tear(s).
(a) Attach a patch of Film-Insulation covering - - (Material No.14HQB1) with Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the damaged area.
5. Close-upNOTE: Film-Insulation covering - - (Material No.14HQB1) is on the inboard and outboard side of the insulation blankets above the stringer 19 level. It is also on the inboard side of the insulation blankets below the stringer 19 level.
(1) Repair of damage type 1 (tears): (a) Bond Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the tear(s).
NOTE: The adhesive tape must have an overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) with the edges of the tear(s) in all directions.
(2) Repair of damage type 2 (missing wrapper material): (a) Attach a patch of Film-Insulation covering - - (Material No.14HQB1) with Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the damaged area.
NOTE: The adhesive tape must have an overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) with the edges of the patch in all directions.
(3) Repair of damage type 3 (tears or missing wrapper material at the edge of the blanket): NOTE: This repair is only applicable if the maximum available width of the adhesive tape is sufficient for this task.
(a) Bond Adhesive Tape-Insulation Blanket - - (Material No.05TGA1) over the damage. NOTE: The adhesive tape must have an overlap of 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) with the edges of the damage. The length of the tape must cover the other side of the blanket as shown in section B-B.
