B. Get Access
(1) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Remove the emergency exit hatches (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001).
(2) Do the special precautions before you work on the escape slide system(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
Subtask 25-62-46-010-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Remove the emergency exit hatches (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001).
(2) Do the special precautions before you work on the escape slide system(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Disarm the slide release system:
(b) For overwing emergency exit (1) 833 (844):
1 Pull the shaft (6) a small distance to the right.
2 Push the unlock lever (7) to turn the shaft (6) clockwise.
3 Make sure that the shaft (6) moves to the right.
4 Turn the shaft (6) clockwise until the unlock lever (7) is behind the disarm bracket (4).
1 Pull the shaft (6) a small distance to the left.
2 Push the unlock lever (7) to turn the shaft (6) counterclockwise.
3 Make sure that the shaft (6) moves to the left.
4 Turn the shaft (6) counterclockwise until the unlock lever (7) is behind the disarm bracket (4).
(2) Do the special precautions before you work on the escape slide system(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
Subtask 25-62-46-865-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disarm the slide release system:
NOTE: The SLIDE ARMED indicator lights of the overwing emergency exits come on.
(a) Remove the handle cover (2). (b) For overwing emergency exit (1) 833 (844):
1 Pull the shaft (6) a small distance to the right.
2 Push the unlock lever (7) to turn the shaft (6) clockwise.
3 Make sure that the shaft (6) moves to the right.
4 Turn the shaft (6) clockwise until the unlock lever (7) is behind the disarm bracket (4).
NOTE: The release lever (8) moves away from the counterpart lever (3) of the fuselage, and the spring (5) holds the unlock lever (7) behind the disarm bracket (4).
(c) For overwing emergency exit (1) 834 (843):1 Pull the shaft (6) a small distance to the left.
2 Push the unlock lever (7) to turn the shaft (6) counterclockwise.
3 Make sure that the shaft (6) moves to the left.
4 Turn the shaft (6) counterclockwise until the unlock lever (7) is behind the disarm bracket (4).
NOTE: The release lever (8) moves away from the counterpart lever (3) of the fuselage, and the spring (5) holds the unlock lever (7) behind the disarm bracket (4).
(d) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the overwing emergency exits to tell persons not to arm the slide release system. (2) Do the special precautions before you work on the escape slide system(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Removal of the Inflation Reservoir - Charged
(1) Remove and discard the lockwire (19) from the sleeve nut (18).
(2) Loosen the sleeve nut (18) fully to get access to the two clips (31).
(3) Remove and keep the two clips (31).
(4) Disconnect the wire-control assembly (2) from the flexible control-assembly (1):
(b) Make sure that you do not push the end of the wire (25) into the wire-control assembly (2).
(5) Remove the protection plug (32) from the pocket (3).
(6) Put the two clips (31) into the sleeve nut (18) and install the protection plug (32).
(7) Disconnect the electrical connector (21):
(a) FOR [7506MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS L)
7555VC-A.
(b) FOR [7507MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS R)
7556VC-A.
(8) Install the blanking cap (22) on the socket (24).
(9) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(10) Disconnect the hose assembly (10) from the bulkhead connection (9).
(11) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(12) Safety the bulkhead connection (9):
(b) Install the pressure seal cap (20) on the bulkhead connection (9).
(13) Remove the bolt (14), the washer (15), the clamp (16) and the spacer (17).
(14) Remove the inflation reservoir (5):
(b) Remove the inflation reservoir (5) from the support bracket (8).
Subtask 25-62-46-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the lockwire (19) from the sleeve nut (18).
(2) Loosen the sleeve nut (18) fully to get access to the two clips (31).
(3) Remove and keep the two clips (31).
(4) Disconnect the wire-control assembly (2) from the flexible control-assembly (1):
CAUTION:
DO NOT PUT WEIGHT ON THE FWD PULLEY WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRE- CONTROL ASSEMBLY TO THE FLEXIBLE CONTROL-ASSEMBLY. WEIGHT ON THE PULLEY CAUSES TENSION IN THE WIRE, WHICH CAN CAUSE THE END OF THE WIRE TO BREAK.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PUSH THE END OF THE WIRE INTO THE WIRE-CONTROL ASSEMBLY. THIS CAN CAUSE A KINK IN THE WIRE.
(a) Carefully pull the end of the wire (25) out of the slot of the flexible control-assembly (1). (b) Make sure that you do not push the end of the wire (25) into the wire-control assembly (2).
(5) Remove the protection plug (32) from the pocket (3).
(6) Put the two clips (31) into the sleeve nut (18) and install the protection plug (32).
(7) Disconnect the electrical connector (21):
(a) FOR [7506MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS L)
7555VC-A.
(b) FOR [7507MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS R)
7556VC-A.
(8) Install the blanking cap (22) on the socket (24).
(9) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(10) Disconnect the hose assembly (10) from the bulkhead connection (9).
(11) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(12) Safety the bulkhead connection (9):
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE PRESSURE SEAL CAPS ON THE DISCONNECTED LINE ENDS. THE ESCAPE-SLIDE CAN DEPLOY IF THE AIRCRAFT IS PRESSURIZED AND THE PRESSURE SEAL CAPS ARE NOT INSTALLED.
UNWANTED DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE-SLIDE CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the pressure seal cap (20) from the pocket (3). (b) Install the pressure seal cap (20) on the bulkhead connection (9).
(13) Remove the bolt (14), the washer (15), the clamp (16) and the spacer (17).
(14) Remove the inflation reservoir (5):
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WITH THE INFLATION RESERVOIR AND ITS COMPONENTS. THE RESERVOIR IS AN ALUMINUM BOTTLE WOUND IN KEVLAR FIBERS BONDED WITH EPOXY RESINS, AND IS PRESSURIZED WITH GAS.
IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RESERVOIR, THERE IS A RISK OF EXPLOSION.
NO DAMAGE IS PERMITTED.
(a) Hold the inflation reservoir (5) and loosen the clamps (13). (b) Remove the inflation reservoir (5) from the support bracket (8).
B. Removal of the Inflation Reservoir - Discharged
(1) Remove and discard the lockwire (19) from the sleeve nut (18).
(2) Loosen the sleeve nut (18) fully to get access to the two clips (31).
(3) Remove the two clips (31).
(b) Make sure that you do not push the end of the wire (25) into the wire-control assembly (2).
(5) Disconnect the electrical connector (21):
(a) FOR [7506MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS L)
7555VC-A.
(b) FOR [7507MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS R)
7556VC-A.
(6) Install the blanking cap (22) on the socket (24).
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Disconnect the hose assembly (10) from the bulkhead connection (9):
(a) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Safety the bulkhead connection (9):
(b) Install the pressure seal cap (20) on the bulkhead connection (9).
(10) Remove the bolt (14), the washer (15), the clamp (16) and the spacer (17).
(11) Remove the inflation reservoir (5):
(b) Remove the inflation reservoir (5) from the support bracket (8).
(c) Put the inflation reservoir (5) on the cabin floor.
(12) Before you remove the inflation reservoir (5) from the aircraft do these steps:
(a) Hold the sleeve nut (18) and do as follows:
(c) Put the two clips (31) into the sleeve nut (18) and install the protection plug (32).
Subtask 25-62-46-020-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the lockwire (19) from the sleeve nut (18).
(2) Loosen the sleeve nut (18) fully to get access to the two clips (31).
(3) Remove the two clips (31).
NOTE: Keep the clips (31), until you have removed the inflation reservoir (5) from the support bracket (8).
(4) Disconnect the wire-control assembly (2) from the flexible control-assembly (1): CAUTION:
DO NOT PUSH THE END OF THE WIRE INTO THE WIRE-CONTROL ASSEMBLY. THIS CAN CAUSE A KINK IN THE WIRE.
(a) Carefully pull the end of the wire (25) out of the slot of the flexible control-assembly (1). (b) Make sure that you do not push the end of the wire (25) into the wire-control assembly (2).
(5) Disconnect the electrical connector (21):
(a) FOR [7506MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS L)

(b) FOR [7507MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS R)

(6) Install the blanking cap (22) on the socket (24).
(7) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Disconnect the hose assembly (10) from the bulkhead connection (9):
(a) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(9) Safety the bulkhead connection (9):
WARNING:

(a) Remove the pressure seal cap (20) from the pocket (3). (b) Install the pressure seal cap (20) on the bulkhead connection (9).
(10) Remove the bolt (14), the washer (15), the clamp (16) and the spacer (17).
(11) Remove the inflation reservoir (5):
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WITH THE INFLATION RESERVOIR AND ITS COMPONENTS. THE RESERVOIR IS AN ALUMINUM BOTTLE WOUND IN KEVLAR FIBERS BONDED WITH EPOXY RESINS.
IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BOTTLE OR TO THE EXTERNAL MATERIAL, YOU MUST REPLACE THE RESERVOIR.
(a) Hold the inflation reservoir (5) and loosen the clamps (13). (b) Remove the inflation reservoir (5) from the support bracket (8).
(c) Put the inflation reservoir (5) on the cabin floor.
(12) Before you remove the inflation reservoir (5) from the aircraft do these steps:
(a) Hold the sleeve nut (18) and do as follows:
NOTE: These steps prevent accidental damage to the end of the wire (25).
- Use your thumb and carefully push the end of the wire (25) back into the wire-control assembly (2) until it stops.
- Keep a light pressure on the end of the wire (25).
- Put a punch (26) with a diameter of 3.175 mm (0.13 in.) through the hole in the regulator valve assembly (6), to release the internal pulley.
- Put an ALLEN KEY 3/16 IN (29) into the hexagonal socket (27).
- Slowly turn the Allen key (29) until the stop pin (28) is adjacent to the BLACK mark (30) (closed position).
NOTE: No special punch (26) is necessary.

NOTE: When you turn the Allen key (29) the end of the wire (25) is pulled back into the wire-control assembly (2).
(b) Remove the protection plug (32) from the pocket (3). (c) Put the two clips (31) into the sleeve nut (18) and install the protection plug (32).
C. Removal of the Inflation Reservoir - Charged
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (8).
(2) Remove the pin (10) and the washers (9) and disconnect the cable (11) from the lever (6).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (13):
(a) FOR [7686MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS RH (ACT))

(b) FOR [7685MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS LH (ACT))

(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the protection cap from the pocket (5) and install it on the hose assembly (15).
(7) Safety the fuselage connection (16):
(8) Remove the bolt (18), the washers (17) and the clamp (19).
(9) Remove the inflation reservoir (3):
(b) Hold the inflation reservoir (3) and loosen the clamps (4).
(c) Remove the inflation reservoir (3).
Subtask 25-62-46-020-052-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (8).
(2) Remove the pin (10) and the washers (9) and disconnect the cable (11) from the lever (6).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (13):

(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE UNIONS WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES FROM/TO THE UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST THE PNEUMATIC LINES AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
(5) Loosen the nut (14) and disconnect the hose assembly (15) from the fuselage connection (16). (6) Remove the protection cap from the pocket (5) and install it on the hose assembly (15).
(7) Safety the fuselage connection (16):
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE PRESSURE SEAL CAPS ON THE DISCONNECTED LINE ENDS. THE ESCAPE-SLIDE CAN DEPLOY IF THE AIRCRAFT IS PRESSURIZED AND THE PRESSURE SEAL CAPS ARE NOT INSTALLED.
UNWANTED DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE-SLIDE CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the pressure seal cap from the pocket (5) and install it on the fuselage connection (16). (8) Remove the bolt (18), the washers (17) and the clamp (19).
(9) Remove the inflation reservoir (3):
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WITH THE INFLATION RESERVOIR AND ITS COMPONENTS. THE RESERVOIR IS AN ALUMINUM BOTTLE WOUND IN KEVLAR FIBERS BONDED WITH EPOXY RESINS, AND IS PRESSURIZED WITH GAS.
IF YOU CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RESERVOIR, THERE IS A RISK OF EXPLOSION.
NO DAMAGE IS PERMITTED.
(a) Remove the screws (22) and the washers (23). (b) Hold the inflation reservoir (3) and loosen the clamps (4).
(c) Remove the inflation reservoir (3).
D. Removal of the Inflation Reservoir - Discharged
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (8).
(2) Remove the pin (10) and the washers (9) and disconnect the cable (11) from the lever (6).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (13):
(a) FOR [7686MM] (RESERVOIR ASSY OWS RH (ACT))

(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Remove the protection cap from the pocket (5) and install it on the hose assembly (15).
(7) Safety the fuselage connection (16):
(8) Remove the bolt (18), the washers (17) and the clamp (19).
(9) Remove the screws (22) and the washers (23).
(10) Hold the inflation reservoir (3) and loosen the clamps (4).
(11) Remove the inflation reservoir (3).
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (8).
(2) Remove the pin (10) and the washers (9) and disconnect the cable (11) from the lever (6).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (13):

(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:

(5) Loosen the nut (14) and disconnect the hose assembly (15) from the fuselage connection (16). (6) Remove the protection cap from the pocket (5) and install it on the hose assembly (15).
(7) Safety the fuselage connection (16):
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE PRESSURE SEAL CAPS ON THE DISCONNECTED LINE ENDS. THE ESCAPE-SLIDE CAN DEPLOY IF THE AIRCRAFT IS PRESSURIZED AND THE PRESSURE SEAL CAPS ARE NOT INSTALLED.
UNWANTED DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE-SLIDE CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the pressure seal cap from the pocket (5) and install it on the fuselage connection (16). (8) Remove the bolt (18), the washers (17) and the clamp (19).
(9) Remove the screws (22) and the washers (23).
(10) Hold the inflation reservoir (3) and loosen the clamps (4).
(11) Remove the inflation reservoir (3).
Overwing Emergency Exit - Arm/Disarm
