A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward or aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the forward or aft cargo-compartment door.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the forward or aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the forward or aft cargo-compartment door.
Subtask 25-52-53-910-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Remove the unwanted sealant from the reinforced end stops and the roller tracks with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a SCRAPER - WOODEN or SCRAPER - PLASTIC.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the thread and the shaft of the bolts.
(5) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the mating surface of the reinforced end stops.
Subtask 25-52-53-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the unwanted sealant from the reinforced end stops and the roller tracks with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a SCRAPER - WOODEN or SCRAPER - PLASTIC.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the thread and the shaft of the bolts.
(5) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the mating surface of the reinforced end stops.
B. Installation of the Reinforced End Stops
(1) Install the reinforced end stops (1) and the rollers (2) with the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5).
(2) Safety the nuts (5) with new AIPC 25-52-04-26-060 COTTER PINS (4).
(3) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) to the fasteners and all other connection elements.
(4) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) to the material applied to the fasteners and the connection elements (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
Subtask 25-52-53-420-051-M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the reinforced end stops (1) and the rollers (2) with the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5).
(2) Safety the nuts (5) with new AIPC 25-52-04-26-060 COTTER PINS (4).
(3) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) to the fasteners and all other connection elements.
(4) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) to the material applied to the fasteners and the connection elements (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
B. Installation of the Reinforced End Stops
(1) Put the plates (8) in their correct installation positions in the roller track (3).
(2) Put the reinforced end stop (1) and the roller (2) in position in the roller track (3).
(3) Install the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5).
(4) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) to the fasteners and all other connection elements.
(5) Safety the nuts (5) with the new cotter pins (4).
5. Close-up(1) Put the plates (8) in their correct installation positions in the roller track (3).
(2) Put the reinforced end stop (1) and the roller (2) in position in the roller track (3).
(3) Install the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5).
(4) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) to the fasteners and all other connection elements.
(5) Safety the nuts (5) with the new cotter pins (4).
Subtask 25-52-53-410-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the forward or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
