A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward or aft cargo compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the forward or aft cargo compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the applicable ACT(s) is(are) removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-001).
(4) Make sure that the sidewall panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).
(5) Make sure that the floor panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-52-44-910-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Fixed YZ-Latches for 2 ACT ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove the unwanted sealant from the YZ-latch (2), the shim plate (3) and the structure (6) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a SCRAPER - WOODEN or SCRAPER - PLASTIC.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the thread of all the bolts (1) and the screws (5).

Subtask 25-52-44-420-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
(2) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the mating surface of the YZ-latches (2) and shim plates (3).
(3) Put the YZ-latch (2) together with the shim plate (3) in position on the structure (6).
(4) Install the bolts (1) and the nuts (4) in the YZ-latch (2).
(5) Tighten the nuts (4).
(6) Install the screws (5) through the shim plate (3) and the YZ-latch (2).
(7) Tighten the screws (5).
(8) Apply the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on to the nuts (4), the bolts (1) and the screws (5).

Fixed YZ-Latches for 2 ACT ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Measure the distance between the fixed YZ-latches (2).

NOTE: The distance must be 1568.4 +0.2 mm or -0.2 mm (61.75 +0.01 in. or -0.01 in.).

(2) If necessary adjust the fixed YZ-latches (2) with the adjustment screw (7).
(3) Turn the adjustment screw (7) to change the measurement as necessary.
(4) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) to the adjustment screw (7).

5. Close-up
Subtask 25-52-44-410-057-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Install the sidewall panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-003).
(2) Install the floor panels (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-400-001).
(3) Install the applicable ACT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Close the aft cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(7) Remove the access platform(s).
