A. Identification of the Damaged Area
(Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-200-024)
(1) If the damaged panel is painted (refurbished in accordance with (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-370-001)), remove the paint from the damaged area before you do the repair procedure.
(2) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to identify the surface of the damaged panel. If the damaged panel is painted, the cleaner will dissolve the paint.
(3) If the length of a damaged area is more than 25 mm (0.98 in.):

(1) If the damaged panel is painted (refurbished in accordance with (Ref. AMM TASK 25-50-00-370-001)), remove the paint from the damaged area before you do the repair procedure.
(2) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to identify the surface of the damaged panel. If the damaged panel is painted, the cleaner will dissolve the paint.
(3) If the length of a damaged area is more than 25 mm (0.98 in.):
- The minimum distance to the other damaged area or repaired area in the same panel is 50 mm (1.97 in.).
- If the distance to the other damaged area is less than 50 mm (1.97 in.), both the damaged areas should be considered as a single damage.
B. Repair with Speed Patches and Filler
(2) Make the repair area smooth and deburr it with an emery cloth grade 80-120..
(3) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Make sure that the repair area is dry.
(5) Cut a patch to the applicable dimensions.
(7) Fill the material Low density compound-Fire compliant Low temperature curing Furnishing (Material No.13GBB3) into the prepared area.
(a) Make sure that the repair area is dry.
(b) Remove the protective backing from the patch.
5. Close-upNOTE: Do not use the patch to overlap another repair.
(1) Remove the damaged area from the panel. (2) Make the repair area smooth and deburr it with an emery cloth grade 80-120..
(3) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Make sure that the repair area is dry.
(5) Cut a patch to the applicable dimensions.
NOTE: The repair patch must be 38 mm (1.5 in.) larger than the damaged area in all directions.
(6) Deburr the edges of the patch with an emery cloth grade 80-120.. (7) Fill the material Low density compound-Fire compliant Low temperature curing Furnishing (Material No.13GBB3) into the prepared area.
NOTE: Obey the manufacturers instructions.
(8) Install the patch Laminate Repair Patch-Cured - Fire compliant Non Intumescent Thin Cargo (Material No.13XBB4) : (a) Make sure that the repair area is dry.
(b) Remove the protective backing from the patch.
NOTE: Obey the manufacturers instructions.
(c) Put the patch over the damaged area on the view side of the panel and push it into position. Subtask 25-50-00-410-106-A
