4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Cables - Seat to Seat
F Cables - Seat to Seat ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the covers:
     (a) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the covers (1) from the related seats.
     (b) Remove the carpet as far as necessary to get access to the race way covers (9).
     (c) Open the race way covers (9).
     (d) Remove the applicable seat track covers (17) from the seat tracks.
     (e) Remove the covers (11) and (12) from the race ways.
     (f) Open the covers (14).
     (g) Remove the cable outlets (16) from the race ways.
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connectors:
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connectors (4) from the electronic boxes.
     (b) Remove the screws (8) and the brackets (7) from the aircraft structure.
     (c) Remove the screws (5) and the clamps (6).
     (d) Disconnect the electrical connectors (10) from the power wall disconnect-boxes.
     (e) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Remove the cables:
     (a) Cut and discard the cable ties (13).
     (b) Carefully remove the cables (3).

   (1) Remove the covers:
     (a) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the covers (1).
     (b) Release the fasteners (8) and remove the covers (9) from the wall disconnect boxes.
     (c) Remove the carpet as far as necessary to get access to the race ways (11).
     (d) Open the race ways (11).
     (e) Remove the seat track covers (16) from the seat tracks.
     (f) Remove the covers (12) and (13) from the race ways.
     (g) Open the covers (14).
     (h) Remove the cable outlets (15) from the race ways.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connectors:
     (a) Release the spring latches (3).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connectors (7) from the wall disconnect boxes.
     (c) Disconnect the electrical connectors (10) from the seat electronic boxes.
     (d) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
   (3) Remove the cables:
     (a) Record the routing of the cables (6).
     (b) Cut and discard the necessary cable ties (5).
     (c) Carefully remove the cables (6).

   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the covers:
     (a) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the covers (1) from the related seats.
     (b) Remove the carpet as far as necessary to get access to the race way covers (12).
     (c) Open the race way covers (12).
     (d) Remove the applicable seat track covers (18) from the seat tracks.
     (e) Remove the covers (14),(15) and the cable outlets (17) from the race ways.
     (f) Open the covers (16).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connectors:
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the brackets.
     (b) Remove the screws (11) and the brackets (10) from the aircraft structure.
     (c) Remove the screws (8) and the clamps (9).
     (d) Disconnect the electrical connectors (13) from the power wall disconnect-boxes.
     (e) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
   (4) Remove the cables:
     (a) Release the cables (6) from the clamps (7), if installed.
     (b) Cut and discard the cable ties (4).
     (c) Carefully remove the cables (6).

A. Removal of the Seat-to-Seat Cables

   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the covers as follows:
     (a) On the Business Class (B/C) seat:
       1 Remove the screw (1), the washer (2) and the cover (3).
       2 Release the fasteners (5) and (10) and remove the covers (4) and (9).
     (b) On the tourist class seat, release the fasteners (12) and (14) and remove the covers (11) and (13).
     (c) Remove the carpet as far as necessary to get access to the raceway covers (23).
     (d) Open the raceway covers (23).
     (e) Remove the applicable seat track cover (28) from the seat track.
     (f) Remove the covers (25) and (26) and the cable outlets (27) from the raceway.
     (g) Open the covers (24).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connectors as follows:
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connectors (15) from the In-Seat Power Supply Unit (ISPSU).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connector (17) from the bracket.
     (c) Remove the screws (20) and the bracket (21) from the aircraft structure.
     (d) Remove the screws (18) and the clamps (19).
     (e) Disconnect the electrical connectors (22) from the power wall disconnect-box.
     (f) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Remove the cables (6) as follows:
     (a) Record the routing of the cables (6).
     (b) Open the clamps (16).
     (c) Cut and discard the cable ties (7).
     (d) Carefully remove the cables (6).

B. Removal of the Raceway
F Raceway ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) If necessary, remove the raceways:
     (a) With the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC, carefully lift the raceway (1) and remove it from the floor panel.
