Check of the Lightning Protection Modules
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT NO AC OR DC POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION IF THE AC OR DC POWER STAYS CONNECTED.

Subtask 24-22-51-010-052-A
A. Get Access
(1) If necessary, remove the Third Occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-000-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on the rear panel 120VU, open the panel which gives access to the AC power center 123VU.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 121AL.
(4) Open the access door 121AL.
Subtask 24-22-51-860-052-A (1) If necessary, remove the Third Occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-000-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on the rear panel 120VU, open the panel which gives access to the AC power center 123VU.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 121AL.
(4) Open the access door 121AL.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(2) Put a warning notice on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to connect the external power connector to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(3) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(2) Put a warning notice on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to connect the external power connector to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(3) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
- APU GEN,
- BAT 1, BAT 2,
- GEN 1, GEN 2,
- EXT PWR.
- 21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
- 25VU (APU),
- 35VU (ELEC).

A. Inspection
(1) With an LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION, do a visual check of the external condition of the lightning protection modules and of the adjacent area to find:

- on each lightning protection module:
. cracks,
. blisters. - in the adjacent area:
. projections of black or/and white spots.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) In the cockpit, on the rear panel 120VU, close the panel which gives access to the AC power center 123VU.
(3) If removed, install the Third Occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Close the access door 121AL.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) In the cockpit, on the rear panel 120VU, close the panel which gives access to the AC power center 123VU.
(3) If removed, install the Third Occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Close the access door 121AL.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
