C. Install Locking Devices
   (1) Put the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
   (2) Install the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR or 98D27309009004 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR on the servocontrol elevators.
NOTE: Only the last version of the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR is applicable to the servo control with a roller bearing.

D. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 330 for the left hand elevator and/or zone 340 for the right hand elevator.

E. Get Access
   (1) Remove the applicable Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer (THS) trailing-edge access-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 55-13-11-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 11-25-55-970-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Record of the Weight of the Elevator
WARNING: THIS PROCEDURE IS IN A CATEGORY KNOWN AS A CRITICAL DESIGN CONFIGURATION CONTROL LIMITATION (CDCCL). YOU MUST KEEP ALL CDCCL ITEMS IN THE APPROVED CONFIGURATION. MAKE SURE THAT THE WEIGHT OF THE ELEVATOR IS IN THE SPECIFIED LIMITS.
   (1) Record the weight of the elevator on the weight identification plate (1).
   (2) Replace the weight identification plate (1) if:
     (a) There is no free line to record the new weight of the elevator, and/or
     (b) The elevator has a new Part Number (P/N).
   (3) Record the P/N on a new weight identification plate (1).
   (4) Install the new weight identification plate (1) as follows:
     (a) Put the new weight identification plate (1) in the correct position.
     (b) Drill holes to install the rivets (2) as follows:
       1 Make marks to show the position of the holes with the PENCIL - SOFT.
       2 Drill holes with the DRILL DIA. 2,5 MM (0,098 IN).
       3 Increase the hole diameter to the correct size of the rivets (2) which you must install.
       4 Deburr the holes and remove the unwanted material.
       5 Clean the work area with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (c) Install the new weight identification plate (1).
     (d) Install the rivets (2) SRM 514211.
   (5) Send the reporting sheet to AIRBUS.
Subtask 11-25-55-970-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Record of the Weight of the Elevator
WARNING: THIS PROCEDURE IS IN A CATEGORY KNOWN AS A CRITICAL DESIGN CONFIGURATION CONTROL LIMITATION (CDCCL). YOU MUST KEEP ALL CDCCL ITEMS IN THE APPROVED CONFIGURATION. MAKE SURE THAT THE WEIGHT OF THE ELEVATOR IS IN THE SPECIFIED LIMITS.
   (1) Record the weight of the elevator on the weight identification plate (2).
   (2) Replace the weight identification plate (1) if:
     (a) There is not a free line to record the new weight of the elevator, and/or
     (b) The elevator has a new Part Number (P/N):
       1 Make a mark on the P/N on the weight identification plate (1) with the VIBRO ENGRAVER. Do this the first time you replace the weight identification plate (1) with the new identification plate (2).
   (3) Record the P/N on a new weight identification plate (2).
   (4) Install the new weight identification plate (2) as follows:
     (a) Put the new weight identification plate (2) in the correct position.
NOTE: There are two possible positions to install the new weight identification plate (2).
     (b) Drill holes to install the rivets (3) as follows:
       1 Make marks to show the position of the holes with the PENCIL - SOFT.
       2 Drill holes with the DRILL DIA. 2,5 MM (0,098 IN).
       3 Increase the hole diameter to the diameter of the rivets (3) of 4 mm (0.157 in.).
       4 Deburr the holes and remove the unwanted material.
       5 Clean the work area with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (c) Install the new weight identification plate (2).
     (d) Install the rivets (3) SRM 514211.
   (5) Send the reporting sheet to AIRBUS.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) If removed, install the applicable THS trailing-edge access-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 55-13-11-400-001).

B. Remove Locking Devices
   (1) Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE "COLLAR-ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL SAFETY" BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE THE ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE COLLAR, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL.
   (2) Remove the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR or 98D27309009004 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR from the servocontrol elevators.

C. Remove Ground Equipment
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
