Shoring of the Aircraft


1. Reason for the Job
Shoring is necessary to give a support to the wing in order to release the loads on the structure when you do major work or modifications.
The AMM shoring procedure gives the general principle only.
Use the detailed shoring instructions given in:
  • SRM 51-51-00, when shoring is required for specific Airbus repairs.
  • ARM 3-28, when shoring is required for recovery of the aircraft.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized

A. Lifting of the Aircraft
   (1) Lift the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001).

B. Shoring of the Aircraft
   (1) Put SHORES in position below the wing front spar and rear spar.
For detailed instructions, refer to the SRM SRM 515100.
   (2) Make sure that the wing touches the shores.
5. Close-up
Subtask 07-20-00-942-050-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) After you complete the work, remove the shores.
   (2) Lower the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-002).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
