A. Test
(1) Start the engine 2 by the Normal Automatic Start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-043 .
(2) Do an engine shutdown by the Discontinued Start, Restart and Shutdown Procedure Ref.
AMM 71-00-00-710-018 .
NOTE: If the test does not confirm the fault and the fault occurred again and again during the aircraft
operation without confirmation, go to Para. 4. Fault Isolation.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 80-00-00-810-103-A
A. If the engine 2 turns during the start:
· replace the PMA-EEC ( 4005EV ) Ref. AMM 73-22-38-000-010 and Ref. AMM 73-22-38-400-010 .
Before you install the replacement EDA stator, turn the gear box to make sure that the EDA rotor turns.
(1) If the fault continues:
· do a check and repair the wiring from the EEC (4000KS) to the engine dedicated alternator stator
(4005EV) :
. pins J2/M, e to pins A/D, C
· do a check and repair the wiring from the EEC (4000KS) to the engine dedicated alternator stator
(4005EV) :
. pin J11/W to pin B/A
· do a check and repair the wiring at the EEC connector (4000KS-J11) between pins V and U Ref.
ASM 73-25-14
(2) If the fault continues:
· replace the EEC ( 4000KS ) Ref. AMM 73-22-34-000-010 and Ref. AMM 73-22-34-400-010 .

B. If the engine 2 does not turn during the start:
· try to turn the HP rotor system with the hand turning tool installed in the external gearbox. Make sure
that the torque necessary to turn the HP rotor is not more than 500 lbf.in (5,65 mdaN).
(1) If the HP rotor system turns:
· replace the STARTER ( 100KM ) Ref. AMM 80-13-41-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 80-13-41-400-010 .
(2) If the HP rotor system does not turn:
· do a borescope inspection of the HP system Ref. AMM 72-00-00-200-016 , Ref.
AMM 72-00-00-200-013 , Ref. AMM 72-00-00-200-014 and Ref. AMM 72-00-00-200-015 .
(a) If you find no fault:
· replace the external gearbox Ref. AMM 72-60-00-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 72-60-00-400-010 .
