Subtask 79-32-00-710-103-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the operational test of the FADEC 2B on the ground (with engine non motoring) AMM 73-29-00-710-040.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 79-32-00-810-083-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. This fault message is generated if the output signal is lost from the ECU dedicated oil temperature sensor used for the fuel return valve control.
NOTE: This sensor is not used for the oil temperature indication in the cockpit.
   (1) If the test gives the maintenance message EOT SENS, J13, ECU:
  • Disconnect the connector of the harness J13 from the oil temperature sensor and do a resistance check of the sensor ASM 732518 between:
    . Pins 1 and 2 (0.5 to 10 ohms)
    . Pins 3 and 4 (0.5 to 10 ohms)
    . Pins 2 and 5 (>1 megohm)
    . Pins 3 and 5 (>1 megohm)
. Pin 1 and the ground (>1 megohm)
. Pin 4 and the ground (>1 megohm).
     (a) If the resistance values are out of the specified limits:
     (b) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
  • Connect the harness J13 to the oil temperature sensor again.
  • Disconnect the connector of the harness J13 from the ECU (4000KS) and do a resistance check ASM 732518 between:
    . PPns 10 and 22 (0.5 to 10 ohms)
    . Pins 9 and 20 (0.5 to 10 ohms)
    . Pins 9 and 21 (>1 megohm)
    . Pins 10 and 21 (>1 megohm)
. Pin 9 and the ground (>1 megohm)
. Pin 10 and the ground (>1 megohm).
1 If the resistance values are out of the specified limits:
2 If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
   (2) If the test does not give the maintenance message EOT SENS, J13, ECU:
  • Do a check of the connectors on the harness J13 between the ECU and the oil temperature sensor for loosening, contamination, corrosion or damaged pins or sockets.
     (a) If there is loosening, contamination, corrosion or dammage:
     (b) If there is no loosening, contamination, corrosion or dammage:
       1 If the fault continues:
         a If the fault continues:
Subtask 79-32-00-810-083-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
