3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 79-30-00-860-054-A
A. Job Set-up
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Ref. AMM 24-41-00-861-002 .
(2) On the panel 50VU, release the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/2 pushbutton switch.
Subtask 79-30-00-710-056-A
B. Test
NOTE: If the warning is latched temporarily during engine start prior to the engine achieving a stabilized
idle condition, no maintenance action is necessary. Do a check for correct operation after the next
start with oil temperature more than 32 deg.C (89.60 deg.F). Once at idle if the indication still exists
and the oil temperature is above 32 deg.C (89.60 deg.F), then proceed with the following instructions.
(1) On the panel 50VU, push the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/2 pushbutton switch and release it again.
NOTE: This action resets the FADEC memory.
(2) Inspect the Master Magnetic Chip Detector Ref. AMM 79-00-00-200-013 and the Oil Scavenge Filter
Ref. AMM 79-00-00-200-012 .
(3) Start the engine 2 by the normal engine automatic start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-043 or
the normal engine manual start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-047 .
(4) When the oil temperature is more than 0 deg.C (32.00 deg.F) and the engine is at stabilised idle
conditions, do a check to see if the OIL FILTER CLOG indication or ENG OIL FILTER CLOG ECAM
warning for the engine 2 is shown on the ENGINE page (lower display unit).
(5) Do a shutdown of the engine 2 by the discontinued start, restart and shutdown procedure Ref.
AMM 71-00-00-710-018 .
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 79-30-00-810-055-A
A. If the test gives the OIL FILTER CLOG indication or ENG OIL FILTER CLOG ECAM warning for the
engine 2 on the ENGINE page:
NOTE: If the oil filter CLOG indication and the ENG 2 OIL FILTER CLOG ECAM warning disappear when
the oil temperature is greater than 32 deg.C (89.60 deg.F), then the oil filter clog fault could be ignored
and therefore no more maintenance action is required.
(1) Examine the oil filters Ref. AMM 79-00-00-200-012 .
(2) Examine the magnetic chip detectos for debris Ref. AMM 79-00-00-200-011 .
(3) Examine the condition of the engine oil Ref. AMM 79-00-00-200-010 .
(4) replace the FILTER-OIL SCAVENGE ( 6001EM ) Ref. AMM 79-22-44-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 79-22-44-400-010 .
(5) If the fault continues:
· replace the SW-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESS ( 4001EN ) Ref.
AMM 79-35-16-000-010 and Ref. AMM 79-35-16-400-010 .
(6) If the fault continues:
· do a check and repair the wiring from the scavenge filter differential pressure switch (4001EN) to
the SDAC from pin A/3 to pins AD/1H of the SDAC1 and the SDAC2 Ref. ASM 79-36-01.
(7) If the fault continues:
· do a check and repair the wiring from the scavenge filter differential pressure switch (4001EN) pin
A/1 to the ground point connection GP1-4 Ref. AWM 71-51-02.
Subtask 79-30-00-710-057-A
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
5. Close-up
Subtask 79-30-00-860-055-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
Ref. AMM 31-60-00-860-002 .
(2) On the panel 50VU, push the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/2 pushbutton switch.
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Ref. AMM 24-41-00-862-002 .
(4) Make sure that the fan cowls 447AL and 448AR are closed Ref. AMM 71-13-00-410-010 . [Rev.6 from Feb 2017] 2026.04.04 04:38:27 UTC
