A. Do the operational test of the thrust reverser system (2A and 2B) AMM 78-31-00-710-042.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 78-31-00-810-115-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message TR PR SW, J5+J6, ECU:
  • do a check for open or short to ground of the harnesses J5 and J6 between the ECU (4000KS) and the HCU pressure switch, pins J5 and J6/12, 13 to pins N/2, 3 and N/4, 5 ASM 732516.
   (1) If one of these wirings is not correct:
  • repair the above wirings.
   (2) If the wirings are correct:
  • disconnect the harnesses J5 and J6 from the HCU pressure switch
  • install jumper wires between pins 2 and 3 for the harness J5 and between pins 4 and 5 for the harness J6
  • disconnect the harnesses J5 and J6 from the ECU (4000KS) and do a resistance check of the harnesses J5 and J6 between:
    . pins 12 and 13 (< 5 ohms)
    . pins 12 and 11 (> 10 megohms)
    . pin 12 and the ground (> 10 megohms).
     (a) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
     (b) If the resistance values are out of the specified limits:
   (3) If the fault continues:

A. If the test gives the maintenance message TR PR SW, J5+J6, ECU:
  • do a check for open or short to ground of the harnesses J5 and J6 between the ECU (4000KS) and the HCU pressure switch, pins J5 and J6/12, 13 to pins N/2, 3 and N/4, 5 ASM 732516.
   (1) If one of these wirings is not correct:
  • repair the above wirings.
   (2) If the wirings are correct:
  • disconnect the harnesses J5 and J6 from the HCU pressure switch
  • install jumper wires between pins 2 and 3 for the harness J5 and between pins 4 and 5 for the harness J6
  • disconnect the harnesses J5 and J6 from the ECU (4000KS) and do a resistance check of the harnesses J5 and J6 between:
    . pins 12 and 13 (< 5 ohms)
    . pins 12 and 11 (> 10 megohms)
    . pin 12 and the ground (> 10 megohms).
     (a) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
