Failure of the Thrust Reverser Actuator LVDT (Channel B) on Engine 1

· LVDT-THRUST REV UPPER R ACTUATOR ( 4003KS )
· wiring from the thrust reverser upper right actuator LVDT (4003KS) to the EEC (4000KS)

3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 78-30-00-860-144-A
A. Job Set-up
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Ref. AMM 24-41-00-861-002 .
(2) On the panel 50VU, release the ENG FADEC GND PWR/1 pushbutton switch.
Subtask 78-30-00-710-248-A
B. Test
(1) On the panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR/1 pushbutton switch and release it again.
NOTE: This action resets the FADEC memory.
(2) Do the operational test of the thrust reverser system with the CFDS (through FADEC 1A and 1B
menus) Ref. AMM 78-31-00-710-041 .
4. Fault Isolation
(Ref. Fig. Failure of the Thrust Reverser Actuator LVDT (Channel B) on Engine 1 SHEET 1)
Subtask 78-30-00-810-166-A
A. If the test gives the maintenance message REV LVDT CHB/HC/EEC1:
· read the fault code shown on the FLIGHT DATA and GROUND DATA of the FADEC (1A and 1B) menu
on the MCDU (Ref. 70-00-00 Page Block 301 Task Supporting Data).
· make a record of the fault code.
(1) If the FADEC 1B menu gives the fault code REVXCW:
· do a check of and adjust, if necessary, the rigging of the thrust reverser system Ref.
AMM 78-30-00-820-010 .
(2) If the fault continues or if the FADEC 1B menu gives the fault code REVLFF:
· examine the harness Ref. AMM 71-50-00-210-010 from the EEC (4000KS) to the thrust reverser
upper right actuator LVDT (4003KS) Ref. ASM 73-25-16.
· disconnect the connector from the thrust reverser upper right actuator LVDT (4003KS)
· examine the connector and receptacle Ref. AMM 71-50-00-210-010 .
· connect the connector to the thrust reverser upper right actuator LVDT (4003KS) Ref.
AMM 70-23-15-912-010 .
(3) If the fault continues:
· replace the LVDT-THRUST REV UPPER R ACTUATOR ( 4003KS ) Ref. AMM 78-32-48-000-010
and Ref. AMM 78-32-48-400-010 .
(4) If the fault continues:
· disconnect the electrical harness connector (4000KS-J10) from the EEC (4000KS)
· at the electrical connector (4000KS-J10) do a check of the resistance between:
. pins N and f (364 to 555 ohms)
. pins g and h (460 to 688 ohms)
(a) If the resistance between the pins N and f is not between 364 and 555 ohms:
· do a check and repair the wiring from the thrust reverser upper right actuator LVDT (4003KS)
to the EEC (4000KS) : pins A/3, 4 to pins J10/N, f Ref. ASM 73-25-16.
(b) If the resistance between the pins g and h is not between 460 and 688 ohms:
· do a check and repair the wiring from the thrust reverser upper right actuator LVDT (4003KS)
to the EEC (4000KS) : pins A/2, 1 to pins J10/g, h Ref. ASM 73-25-16.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (4000KS-J10) to the EEC (4000KS) Ref.
AMM 70-23-15-912-010 .
(5) If the fault continues:
· replace the EEC ( 4000KS ) Ref. AMM 73-22-34-000-010 and Ref. AMM 73-22-34-400-010 .

B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the ECAM control panel, set the UPPER DISPLAY and LOWER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.

(2) On the panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR/1 pushbutton switch.
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Ref. AMM 24-41-00-862-002 .
(4) Make sure that the thrust reverser halves 451AL and 452AR are closed Ref.
AMM 78-32-00-410-010 .
