A. This indication is set if the N2 speed has exceeded the limit (Red line). This indication may be spurious if it is not associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT.
(1) If this indication was associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT, do the trouble shooting procedure relative to this ECAM warning (Ref. TSM TASK 77-00-00-810-851).
(2) If this indication was not associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT, and not associated to any engine malfunction such as N1 auto acceleration, N1 OVERLIMIT, N1 fluctuations:
(a) no action is required, the indication is spurious.
(b) if any of the above listed malfunctions was noticed:
Subtask 77-00-00-810-199-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If this indication was associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT, do the trouble shooting procedure relative to this ECAM warning (Ref. TSM TASK 77-00-00-810-851).
(2) If this indication was not associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT, and not associated to any engine malfunction such as N1 auto acceleration, N1 OVERLIMIT, N1 fluctuations:
(a) no action is required, the indication is spurious.
(b) if any of the above listed malfunctions was noticed:
- do the applicable trouble shooting procedure. Refer to the crew observation entry or ECAM warning entry ATA 77.
- inspect the
J7/J8 harness and associated connectors to the N2 speed sensor and ECU for signs of looseness, damage or contamination. Clean, repair or replace as required AMM 73-21-50-000-006 and AMM 73-21-50-400-006 and AMM 73-21-50-000-007 and AMM 73-21-50-400-007.
- replace the SENSOR-N2 ROTATIONAL SPD [4001EV] AMM 77-11-20-000-001 and AMM 77-11-20-400-001.
- replace the ECU [4000KS] AMM 73-21-60-000-001 and AMM 73-21-60-400-001.

(1) If this indication was associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT, do the trouble shooting procedure relative to this ECAM warning (Ref. TSM TASK 77-00-00-810-851).
(2) If this indication was not associated to the ECAM warning ENG 2 N2 OVERLIMIT, and not associated to any engine malfunction such as N1 auto acceleration, N1 OVERLIMIT, N1 fluctuations:
(a) no action is required, the indication is spurious.
(b) if any of the above listed malfunctions was noticed:
- do the applicable trouble shooting procedure. Refer to the crew observation entry or ECAM warning entry ATA 77.
- inspect the
HJ7/HJ8 harness and associated connectors to the N2 speed sensor and ECU for signs of looseness, damage or contamination. Clean, repair or replace as required AMM 73-21-50-000-008 and AMM 73-21-50-400-008 and AMM 73-21-50-000-009 and AMM 73-21-50-400-009.
- replace the SENSOR-N2 ROTATIONAL SPD [4001EV] AMM 77-11-20-000-002 and AMM 77-11-20-400-002.
- replace the ECU [4000KS] AMM 73-21-60-000-001 and AMM 73-21-60-400-001.
