NOTE: If the EGT is observed at more than 635 DEG. C, perform troubleshooting in TSM TASK
77-00-00-810-817 if the engine is above idle, or Ref. TSM TASK 77-00-00-810-930-A if the engine is
below idle or at start.

Subtask 77-00-00-810-130-A
A. If the fault symptom is identified by the crew observation: ENG1 - EGT more than 610 DEG.C (1130.00
DEG.F):
NOTE: It is recommended that the engine is installed with SCN 21 or the latest software standard. This
can help reduce the EGT on start.
(1) Record:
· Engine Serial Number
NOTE: If engine serial number displayed on MCDU is in the range between 13191 and 15000, then
add 5000 to this value to get the actual engine serial number.
· Maximum temperature
· Time EGT was above 610 DEG.C (1130.00 DEG.F)
· Outside Air Temperature (OAT).
(2) If the time of EGT above 610 DEG.C (1130.00 DEG.F) was less than five minutes:
NOTE: To help prevent EGT above 610 DEG.C (1130.00 DEG.F), it is recommended on hot day conditions
(OAT 35 DEG.C (95.00 DEG.F) or above) that the engine is started manually using the
APU bleed. This will automatically turn off the engine bleeds and will reduce the EGT by up to
30 degrees.
(a) Report the findings to IAE Technical Services.
(b) It is recommended to perform a water wash of the engine at the earliest convenience Ref.
AMM 71-00-00-100-010 .
(3) If the time of EGT above 610 DEG.C (1130.00 DEG.F) was more than five minutes:
(a) For above idle, perform troubleshooting per (Ref. TSM 77-00-00-810-817) .
(b) For below idle or at start, perform troubleshooting per (Ref. TSM 77-00-00-810-930) .

A. If the fault symptom is identified by the crew observation: ENG1 - EGT more than 610 DEG.C (1130.00

· Do the procedure after engine overtemperature (Ref. TSM TASK 77-00-00-810-817) (for A1 engines)
and (Ref. TSM 77-00-00-810-817) (for A5 engines) for engine 1.
