3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 76-12-00-860-050-A
A. Job Set-Up
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits Ref. AMM 24-41-00-861-002 .
(2) On the panel 50VU, release the ENG FADEC GND PWR1 pushbutton switch.
Subtask 76-12-00-710-098-A
B. Test
(1) Not applicable, the fault is evident.
4. Fault Isolation

B. If the fault symptom is identified by the crew observation "ENG1-ENG does not stop with the ENG/
MASTER control switch set to OFF":
· For Goodrich FMU 530, 550 or 560/570 series and Woodward FMU 8061 series installation:
disconnect the connector 447VC-A from the pylon disconnect panel.
at the electrical connector of the General Service Harness, do a resistance check of the
harness and HPSOV solenoid between pins 1 and 2 Ref. ASM 76-12-01.
(1) If the resistance value is between:
43.5 and 47 ohms for Goodrich FMU
90 and 110 ohms for Woodward FMU 8061 series
· proceed to step 4.B.(3) below.
(2) If the resistance between pins 1 and 2 is not between 43.5 and 47 ohms for Goodrich FMU and not
between 90 and 110 ohms for Woodward FMU 8061 series:
· disconnect the connector 4000KC-A from the FMU (4000KC).
· at the electrical connector of the FMU, do a resistance check of the HPSOV solenoid between pins
1 and 2 Ref. ASM 76-12-01.
(a) If the resistance value is not between 43.5 and 47 ohms for Goodrich FMU and not between 90
and 110 ohms for Woodward FMU 8061 series:
· replace the FMU ( 4000KC ) Ref. AMM 73-22-52-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 73-22-52-400-010 .
(b) If the resistance value is between 43.5 and 47 ohms for Goodrich FMU and between 90 and 110
ohms for Woodward FMU 8061 series:
· perform check and repair as necessary General Service Harness from the FMU (4000KC) to
pylon disconnect panel (447VC).
· reconnect General Service Harness connections 447VC-A and 4000KC-A Ref.
AMM 70-23-15-912-010 .
(3) If the resistance values are in the specified limits:
· on the panel 115VU, make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1 control switch is set to OFF position.
· do a check for 28VDC at pin 1G of the ENG/MASTER 1 control switch (3KC) Ref. ASM 76-12-01.
(a) If there is 28VDC:
· do a check of the wiring from the FMU connector 4000KC-A pin 1 to the AUTO PWR OFF
relay (5KC) pin A/A2.
· do a check of the wiring from AUTO PWR OFF relay (5KC) pins A/A3 and A/X1 to the ENG/
MASTER 1 control switch (3KC) pin 1G.
· do a check of the wiring from the ENG/MASTER 1 control switch (3KC) pin 3G to the circuit
breaker (1KC1).
. if the wiring is not correct:
· repair the defective wiring.
. if the wiring is correct, replace the RELAY-FMU HP FUEL SOV AUTO
PWR OFF (5KC).
(b) If there is no 28VDC:
· replace the CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 1 ( 3KC ) on the 115VU panel Ref. ESPM 20-45-21.
· install the panel 115VU and do a test program after removal/installation of a VU panel Ref.
AMM 31-10-00-700-001 .
(4) Do a test given in para 4.C to confirm the fault isolation.
(a) If the fault continues:
· replace the FMU ( 4000KC ) Ref. AMM 73-22-52-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 73-22-52-400-010 .

(1) Start the engine 1 with the normal automatic start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-043 or the
normal engine manuel start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-047 .
(2) Do a shutdown of the engine 1 by the discontinued start, restart and shutdown procedure Ref.
AMM 71-00-00-710-018 .
5. Close-up
Subtask 76-12-00-860-051-A
