3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 73-29-00-710-122-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the operational test of the FADEC 2A on the ground (with engine motoring) AMM 73-29-00-710-040.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 73-29-00-810-145-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message J3:
  • do a check for loose J3 connector at the ECU 2 ASM 732512.
   (1) If the fault continues:
  • make sure that the pins are not bent and that the pins and sockets have not moved into the J3 ECU 2 connector ASM 732512.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • do a check for open circuit in the harness J3 between the pins J3/6, 31 ASM 732512.
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • replace the 5CA1
  • replace the 5CA2
  • replace the harness J3 .
     (b) If there is no fault:
Subtask 73-29-00-810-145-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test gives the maintenance message J3 (INSTINCT DISC):
  • do a check for loose J3 connector at the ECU 2 ASM 732512.
   (1) If the fault continues:
  • make sure that the pins are not bent and that the pins and sockets have not moved into the J3 ECU 2 connector ASM 732512.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • do a check for open circuit in the harness J3 between the pins J3/6, 31 ASM 732512.
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • replace the 5CA1
  • replace the 5CA2
  • replace the harness J3 .
     (b) If there is no fault:
Subtask 73-29-00-710-123-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
