3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 73-22-00-710-206-A
A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the FADEC SYSTEM (FADEC 1 A and 1 B) on the ground Ref.
AMM 73-22-00-710-040 .
NOTE: PB LINE/EEC 1 messages are associated with temporary blockage of the Pb port such as
freezing during flight. Therefore doing the FADEC SYSTEM test may not result in a PB LINE/
EEC 1 message being set. It is recommended that troubleshooting listed below is followed to
prevent the possible occurrence of this message on subsequent flights.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 73-22-00-810-134-A
A. If the test gives the maintenance message PB LINE/EEC 1:
· Check the previous leg reports for PB LINE/EEC 1 messages.
· Make a record of the number of occurrences.
NOTE: Make sure that all reports are checked, there may be up to 63 fault messages recorded.
(1) If there are less than two messages set in the previous leg reports:
· Open fan cowl doors 437AL (447AL), 438AR (448AR) Ref. AMM 71-13-00-010-010 .
· Purge the burner pressure sensor tubes Ref. AMM 73-22-49-220-040 .
· Check the burner pressure tubes for loose joints or fittings.
(2) If there are two or more messages set in the previous leg reports:
· Open fan cowl doors 437AL (447AL), 438AR (448AR) Ref. AMM 71-13-00-010-010 .
· Purge the burner pressure sensor tubes Ref. AMM 73-22-49-220-040 .
· Check the burner pressure sensor tubes for leaks, paying close attention to the flex line Ref.
AMM 73-22-49-790-010
· Visually examine the sensor screen for white powder contamination Ref. AMM 73-22-49-220-010
(3) If the fault continues:
· replace the EEC ( 4000KS ) Ref. AMM 73-22-34-000-010 and Ref. AMM 73-22-34-400-010
(4) If the fault continues:
· Replace the flex pipe.
5. Close-up
Subtask 73-22-00-860-166-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser halves 451AL and 452AR are closed Ref.
AMM 78-32-00-410-010 .
(2) Make sure that the fan cowls 437AL and 438AR are closed Ref. AMM 71-13-00-410-010 . [Rev.6 from Feb 2017] 2026.04.04 04:36:19 UTC
