3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 73-22-00-710-062-A
A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the FADEC SYSTEM (FADEC 1A and 1B) on the ground Ref.
AMM 73-22-00-710-040 .
(2) Read the CLASS 3 FAULT REPORT and the scheduled maintenance report of the FADEC (1A and
1B) menu of the MCDU (Ref. 70-00-00 Page Block 301 Task Supporting Data) and make a record of
the class 3 maintenance message.
4. Fault Isolation
NOTE: Due to Class III faults being time unlimited, and only requiring action at the next maintenance interval,
the following procedure is optional.
Subtask 73-22-00-810-056-A
A. Fault Isolation for Maintenance Message EEC1, Channel A Only
NOTE: This procedure is to correct the Class III maintenance message EEC1. If maintenance message
EEC1 is not found in the Class III menu, do not continue with this procedure.
(1) If the fault is present in the Class III report:
(a) Open the fan cowl doors Ref. AMM 71-13-00-010-010 .
(b) Check the air tubes for loose joints or fittings.
(c) Disconnect the air tubing from the EEC (4000KS - P12.5) Ref. AMM 73-22-49-960-802 .
(d) Purge the air tubes Ref. AMM 73-22-49-870-802 .
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the flex pipe Ref. AMM 73-22-49-960-802 .
(3) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the EEC ( 4000KS ) Ref. AMM 73-22-34-000-010 and Ref. AMM 73-22-34-400-010 .

B. Fault Isolation for Maintenance Message EEC1, Channel B Only
NOTE: This procedure is to correct the Class III maintenance message EEC1. If maintenance message
EEC1 is not found in the Class III menu, do not continue with this procedure.
(1) If the fault is present in the Class III report:
(a) Open the fan cowl doors Ref. AMM 71-13-00-010-010 .
(b) Check the air tubes for loose joints or fittings.
(c) Disconnect the air tubing from the EEC (4000KS - P2.5) Ref. AMM 73-22-49-960-801 .
(d) Purge the air tubes Ref. AMM 73-22-49-870-801 .
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the flex pipe Ref. AMM 73-22-49-960-801 .
(3) If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the EEC ( 4000KS ) Ref. AMM 73-22-34-000-010 and Ref. AMM 73-22-34-400-010 .
5. Close-up
Subtask 73-22-00-942-050-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls Ref. AMM 71-13-00-410-010 .
