Fuel Filter Clogged on Engine 1

1. Possible Causes
· FILTER-FUEL, ENG 1 ( 2000EM1 )
· SW-FUEL FILTER DIFF PRESS ( 4000EL )
· wiring between the fuel filter differential pressure switch (4000EL) and the SDAC1 (1WV1)
· wiring between the fuel filter differential pressure switch (4000EL) and the SDAC2 (1WV2)

Subtask 73-00-00-860-130-A
A. Job Set-Up
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Ref. AMM 24-41-00-861-002 .
(2) On the panel 50VU, release the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1 pushbutton switch.
Subtask 73-00-00-710-140-A
B. Test
(1) On the panel 50VU, push the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1 pushbutton switch and release it again.
NOTE: This action resets the FADEC memory.
(2) Start the engine 1 by the normal engine automatic start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-043 or
the normal engine manual start procedure Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-047 .
(3) Do a check if ENG1 FUEL FILTER CLOG indication is shown on the ENGINE page.
(4) Do a shutdown of the engine 1 Ref. AMM 71-00-00-710-018 .
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 73-00-00-810-096-A
A. If the ground run confirms the fault:
· Replace the FILTER-FUEL, ENG 1 ( 2000EM1 ) Ref. AMM 73-12-42-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 73-12-42-400-010 ,
· Do a visual inspection of the fuel filter element for signs of contamination Ref. AMM 73-12-42-200-010 .
(1) If the fault continues:
· Replace the SW-FUEL FILTER DIFF PRESS ( 4000EL ) Ref. AMM 73-34-15-000-010 and Ref.
AMM 73-34-15-400-010 .
(a) If the fault continues:
continues:
· Do a check and repair the wiring between the fuel filter differential pressure switch (4000EL)
and the SDAC1 (1WV1) : pin A/3 to pin AA/2B
· Do a check and repair the wiring between the fuel filter differential pressure switch (4000EL)
and the SDAC2 (1WV2) : pin A/3 to pin AA/2B Ref. ASM 73-34-02.
(b) If the fault continues:
· Do a check and repair the wiring from the fuel filter differential pressure switch (4000EL) pin
A/1 to the ground point connection GP2-4 Ref. AWM 71-51-02.
