Subtask 71-00-00-710-144-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Investigate the Engine after a Fuel Filter Clog Warning event
   (1) Using the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU) test the FADEC system for any recorded faults AMM 73-21-00-710-806.
NOTE: The maintenance messages for impending clogging of the fuel filter set with the ECAM warning for fuel filter clogging indicate a less severe fuel filter contamination condition. A message "CLOG", in amber color, will also appear under the fuel used indication. The level of clog is near filter bypass. The filter should be replaced per MMEL requirements to avoid a fuel filter bypass warning. Refer to this task.
NOTE: The maintenance messages for clogging of the fuel filter set with the ECAM warning for fuel contamination indicate that level of clogging is at or more than filter bypass. Refer to fuel filter blockage and bypass event (Ref. TSM TASK 73-11-00-810-812).
NOTE: The ECAM warning for engine fuel contamination is inhibited by the EEC if oil temperature is below 35 deg.C (95.00 deg.F).
   (2) Any EEC monitored faults are transmitted to the aircraft Centralized Fault Display Interface Unit (CFDIU). The MCDU allows interactive dialog with the EEC. Use the MCDU to review the previous flight leg fault information, scheduled maintenance fault information and ground fault information. If there are any faults reported troubleshoot them first.
4. Fault Isolation
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS WARNING, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
Subtask 71-00-00-810-151-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Check for any fuel filter delta pressure sensor fault. Troobleshoot these faults:
   (1) If the maintenance messages related to the fuel filter delta pressure sensor electrical failure on channel A are set with the ECAM warning for fuel monitor fault fuel filter sensor, refer to fuel filter delta pressure sensor electrical failure channel A (Ref. TSM TASK 73-34-00-810-807).
   (2) If the maintenance messages related to the fuel filter delta pressure sensor electrical failure on channel B are set with the ECAM warning for fuel monitor fault fuel filter sensor, refer to fuel filter delta pressure sensor electrical failure channel B (Ref. TSM TASK 73-34-00-810-806).
   (3) If the maintenance messages related to the fuel filter delta pressure sensor disagree are set with the ECAM warning for engine fuel monitor fault fuel filter sensor, refer to fuel filter delta pressure sensor signal disagreement (Ref. TSM TASK 73-34-00-810-805).
   (4) If the maintenance messages related to the fuel filter impending clog are set with the ECAM warning for engine fuel filter clog:
     (a) Replace the fuel filter element per MMEL instructions AMM 73-11-06-000-801 and AMM 73-11-06-400-801.
   (5) Inspect the fuel filter element AMM 73-11-00-281-801.
   (6) If contamination is found, inspect the fuel distribution system for contamination AMM 73-11-00-210-805.
   (7) Install a new fuel filter AMM 73-11-06-400-801.
   (8) If no contamination is found:
     (a) Replace FUEL FILTER DIFF PRESS SENSOR [4002KS] AMM 73-34-21-000-801 and AMM 73-34-21-400-801.
   (9) Run the engine at idle AMM 73-21-00-710-807.
   (10) If the fault continues and wiring problems are suspected, do the procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 73-34-00-810-805), if not already accomplished.
5. Close-up
Subtask 71-00-00-860-098-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
