A. Investigate the Engine after a No (N1) Rotation event
(1) Using the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU) test the FADEC system for any recorded faults AMM 73-21-00-710-806.
(2) Any EEC monitored faults are transmitted to the aircraft Centralized Fault Display Interface Unit (CFDIU). The MCDU allows interactive dialog with the EEC. Use the MCDU to review the previous flight leg fault information, scheduled maintenance fault information and ground fault information. If there are any faults reported troubleshoot them first.
4. Fault Isolation(1) Using the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU) test the FADEC system for any recorded faults AMM 73-21-00-710-806.

WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS WARNING, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
Subtask 71-00-00-810-136-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Do the steps that follow:
(1) If the maintenance messages related to the oil debris overlimit detected by Oil Debris Monitoring (ODM) appear with the ECAM warning for GO IF 10 DAYS MMEL and engine oil chip detected, refer to chip detected alert by ODM (Ref. TSM TASK 79-35-00-810-808).
(2) If the maintenance messages related to the N1 speed sensor failure on channel A appear with the ECAM warning for engine FADEC system fault or engine sensor fault and amber crosses on N1, refer to N1 sensor electrical failure channel A (Ref. TSM TASK 77-11-00-810-809).
(3) If the maintenance messages related to the N1 speed sensor failure on channel B appear with the ECAM warning for engine FADEC system fault or engine sensor fault and amber crosses on N1, refer to N1 sensor electrical failure channel B (Ref. TSM TASK 77-11-00-810-808).
(5) Make sure that the fan rotates. The fan should only be rotated in its normal direction of rotation clockwise as viewed from the rear of the engine. If the fan does not rotate, allow the engine to cool for 45 minutes. If the fan does not rotate after the 45 minutes, remove the engine from service.
(6) If there are no EEC monitored faults or messages recorded, inspect the fan rubstrip AMM 72-21-01-220-802.
(7) If you do not find any problems, visually inspect the engine inlet area AMM 72-00-00-210-813.
(8) If you do not find any problems, visually inspect the engine exhaust area AMM 72-00-00-210-812.
(a) If you find metallic debris, remove the engine from service.
(9) If you do not find any problems, run the engine at idle AMM 73-21-00-710-807.
(10) If the N1 will not rotate, remove the engine from service.
5. Close-up(1) If the maintenance messages related to the oil debris overlimit detected by Oil Debris Monitoring (ODM) appear with the ECAM warning for GO IF 10 DAYS MMEL and engine oil chip detected, refer to chip detected alert by ODM (Ref.
NOTE: During an automatic start sequence the engine must sense an N1 rotation if N2 is above 48.4 percent or the start is aborted. If this has occured it is an indication of a seized low rotor.
(4) If there is a report of engine oil temperature high, do an inspection of the engine after engine oil overtemperature AMM 72-00-00-210-811.
