Subtask 71-00-00-860-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Job Set-up
   (1) Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
AMM 24-41-00-861-002
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM display units only) AMM 31-60-00-860-001.
   (3) Make sure that the two throttle control levers are in the idle position.
   (4) Adjust the brightness of the MCDU 1 or 2 or 3 :
  • Press PERF mode key. TAKE OFF page comes into view
  • Enter a Derated T/O: D04 for example (it is possible to enter seven differents Derated T/O D04, D08, D12, D16, D20, D24 or D40). Code D04 comes into view on the scratchpad
  • Press the line key adjacent to the DRT TO-FLX TO indication. DERATED TO followed by CONFIRM 04 %* comes into view
  • Press the line key adjacent to the CONFIRM 04 %*. Code D04 comes into view under the DRT TO-FLX TO indication.
Subtask 71-00-00-700-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Test
   (1) On the maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Push the ENG FADEC GND PWR 1 (2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
   (2) On the center pedestal, move the throttle control lever of the ENG1 to the MCT/FLTO detent point.
   (3) On the upper right part of the EWD make sure that D04 followed by the N1 limit value come into view.
   (4) If the display is not correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG1 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR1 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off.
  • Do the procedure given in Para. 4.A.
   (5) If the display is correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG1 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR1 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off
  • Repeat the above step 1 to 3 for the ENG2.
     (a) If the display is not correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG2 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR2 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off.
  • Do the procedure given in Para. 4.B.
     (b) If the display is correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG2 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR2 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off.
   (6) On the MCDU:
  • Make sure that TAKE OFF page is present
  • Press CLR key. CLR comes into view on the scratchpad
  • Press the line key adjacent to the DRT TO-FLX TO indication
  • Make sure that the D04 indication is cleared
  • Press MCDU MENU key. MCDU MENU page comes into view.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 71-00-00-810-124-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Replace the EIU-1 [1KS1] , AMM 73-25-34-000-040 and AMM 73-25-34-400-040
  • Repeat Para. 3.B.(1) to 3.B.(3).
   (1) If the display is not correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG1 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR1 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off
  • Replace the FCU [2CA] , AMM 22-81-12-000-001 and AMM 22-81-12-400-001.
  • Repeat Para. 3.B.(1) to 3.B.(3).
   (2) If the display is not correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG1 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR1 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off
  • On engine 1, replace the ECU [4000KS] , AMM 73-21-60-000-001 and AMM 73-21-60-400-001.
Subtask 71-00-00-810-125-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Replace the EIU-2 [1KS2] , AMM 73-25-34-000-040 and AMM 73-25-34-400-040
  • Repeat Para. 3.B.(1) to 3.B.(3).
   (1) If the display is not correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG2 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR2 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off
  • Replace the FCU [2CA] , AMM 22-81-12-000-001 and AMM 22-81-12-400-001.
  • Repeat Para. 3.B(1) to 3.B.(3).
   (2) If the display is not correct:
  • Retard the throttle control lever of the ENG2 to the idle stop
  • On the maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR2 pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off
  • On engine 2, replace the ECU [4000KS] , AMM 73-21-60-000-001 and AMM 73-21-60-400-001.
5. Close-up
Subtask 71-00-00-860-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure AMM 31-60-00-860-002.
   (2) Fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
