   (1) Use this troubleshooting procedure to investigate the engine after an oil leak from drain mast event.
4. Fault Isolation
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS WARNING, INJURY CAN OCCUR.

A. Do the steps that follow:
   (1) If there is oil leakage evident from the drain mast, identify the specific drain line location. Refer to the engine and pylon drain system - Description of how it is made and its function AMM 71-71-00-00-.
   (2) Measure the individual leakage quantities and compare to oil leakage limits. Refer to engine operation limits and guidelines AMM 71-00-00-910-803.
   (3) If the oil leakage rate is less than the maximum serviceable limit, no maintenance action is required.
   (4) If the oil leakage rate is more than the maximum serviceable limit, determine the cause for the leakage and repair the cause.
   (5) If you do not find the cause of the leakage, do a visual inspection of the engine oil system. Refer to do a Detailed Visual Inspection (DVI) of the engine oil system AMM 79-00-00-210-810.
