4. Fault Isolation

A. If you cannot open the door:
   (1) Get access to the aircraft by a different passenger/crew door.
   (2) On the blocked door:
  • Cut the upper part of the support arm lining panel to get access to the door damper and emergency-operation cylinder.
  • Discharge the door damper and emergency-operation cylinder AMM 52-10-00-614-001 to open the door.
   (3) When the forward passenger/crew door is open:
     (a) Make sure that the guide arms are in correct condition AMM 52-11-12-220-001.
       1 If the inspection is not OK:
       2 If the inspection is OK:
         a If the inspection is not OK:
         b If the inspection is OK:
  • Do a visual inspection of the telescopic rod mechanism, (part by part after disassembly) AMM 52-11-14-220-001.

    * If the inspection is not OK:
    * - Replace the telescopic rod mechanism and the bolt of the telescopic rod AMM 52-11-14-000-002 and AMM 52-11-14-400-002.

    * If the inspection is OK:
    * - Do an inspection and repair, if necessary, the door suspension , the door locking mechanism and the door escape slide release mechanism .
    * - Replace the bolt of the telescopic rod AMM 52-11-14-000-002 and AMM 52-11-14-400-002.
       3 Do an adjustment of the forward passenger/crew door AMM 52-11-00-820-001.
   (4) If the fault continues:
