1. Possible Causes

wiring from the pin C of the handle proximity switch (13WV1) to the terminal block
wiring from the handle proximity switch (13WV1) to the indicator light (1WN1)

A. Job Set-up
(1) Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

C. Test
(1) Make sure that the SLIDE ARMED indicator light of the L. forward passenger/crew-door is on when the door is locked with the handle of the escape slide in the ARMED position.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 52-11-00-810-069-A

A. If the test confirms the fault:

disconnect the connector of the handle proximity switch (13WV1)
install the jumper wire between the pins B and C of the handle proximity switch (13WV1) ASM 315405
do the test given in Para 3.B.

(1) If the test confirms the fault:

do a check for a ground signal at pin C of the handle proximity switch (13WV1) ASM 315405.

(a) If there is no ground signal:

repair the wiring from the pin C of the handle proximity switch (13WV1) to the terminal block.

(b) If there is a ground signal:

do a check and repair the wiring from the handle proximity switch (13WV1) to the indicator light (1WN1) pin B to pin F ASM 315405 and ASM 527301.

(2) If the test does not confirm the fault:

remove the jumper wire between the pins B and C of the handle proximity switch (13WV1)
connect the connector of the handle proximity switch (13WV1)
adjust the handle proximity switch (13WV1) with the doors checking tool AMM 52-71-00-820-002 or with the ECAM system AMM 52-71-00-820-002.

(a) If the fault continues:

replace the PROX SW-HANDLE, L FWD PAX/CREW DOOR [13WV1] AMM 52-71-11-000-001 and AMM 52-71-11-400-001.

B. Test
(1) Make sure that the SLIDE ARMED indicator light of the L. forward passenger/crew-door is off when the door is locked with the handle of the escape slide in the ARMED position.

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
