4. Fault Isolation

A. If the LAST/PREVIOUS LEGS Report gives the maintenance message
TOILET ASSY LAV X:
NOTE: The toilet assembly is a LRU (Line Replaceable Unit). AIRBUS recommends the replacement of the full LRU.
If necessary, you can replace components of the toilet assembly.
You can refer to the applicable error code on the trouble shooting data page. With the error code you can find the defective component.
  • If it is not possible to replace the toilet assembly, disconnect the toilet assembly AMM 38-31-00-040-002.
Subtask 38-31-00-810-132-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. If the LAST/PREVIOUS LEGS Report gives the maintenance message
TOILET ASSY LAV X:
  • push the CLASS line key adjacent to the message, the Trouble Shooting Data page comes in view.
   (1) Look at the error codes on the trouble shooting data page 38-31-00-03 TSM TASK 38-31-00-03.
   (2) If the last two characters in block 5 of the hexadecimal binary code are:

C. If the LAST LEG/PREVIOUS LEG REPORT gives the maintenance message TOILET ASSY X:
  • push the CLASS line key adjacent to the message, the Trouble Shooting Data page comes in view.
   (1) Look at the error codes on the trouble shooting data page 38-31-00-03 TSM TASK 38-31-00-03.
   (2) If the last two characters of block 5 of the hexadecimal binary code are:
02 or
04 or

   (2) If the last two characters in block 5 of the hexadecimal binary code are:

  • do a check of the AIRCRAFT WIRING between the DEU-B and the related lavatory and repair if necessary ASM 383111.

E. Test
   (1) Do the test as given in paragraph 3. A. to check the correct operation.
   (2) After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not continue.
