3. Fault Confirmation

A. Fault Confirmation
   (1) Make sure that the circuit breakers of the vacuum toilet system are closed.
   (2) Do an operational test of the toilet assembly AMM 38-31-00-710-009.

B. Do the bite test AMM 38-31-00-740-001.
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the FAP gives the maintenance message LAV X INOP:
   (1) Refer to the LAST LEG REPORT or PREVIOUS LEGS REPORT page of the bite test.

B. If the toilet will not rinse or flush when the flush switch is pushed:
  • do a check on all the other toilets.
   (1) If the other toilets also do not rinse or flush:
  • do a check of the Water Quantity on the forward attendant panel 120RH.
   (2) If the water level is low or the tank is empty:
   (3) If the fault continues:
  • Open and close the circuit breaker 32MG or 34MG.
  • do a check of the potable Water Line Connections .
NOTE: Make sure that the shut off valve 3025MM is open.
   (4) If the fault continues:
  • do a check for continuity between pins B and K of the plug 50MG1/A, 50MG2/A, 50MG3/A, 50MG4/A or 50MG7/A with the flush switch pushed ASM 383111.
  • if there is continuity with the flush switch release:
  • replace the flush switch , AMM 38-31-19-000-001 and AMM 38-31-19-400-001.
   (5) If the fault continues:

  • disconnect the electrical connector of the water valve from the flush control unit (FCU).

C. If the flush cycle does not continue for 4 s when the flush switch is pushed:
   (1) If the rinse water during flush is not sufficient when the flush switch is pushed:
  • do a check of the Flush Ring and clean if necessary.
NOTE: Make sure that the shut off valve 3025MM is open.
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the Water Valve Screen and clean if necessary.
     (b) If the fault continues:
     (c) If the fault continues:
  • do a check of the Potable Water Line Connections .
5. Close-up

   (1) Do the test given in Para. 3.
   (2) After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not continue.
