A. If the test gives the maintenance message:
ENG2 PYLON LOOP B()
Subtask 36-22-00-710-140-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL ENG2 PYLON LOOP B()
- Remove BMC2 (1HA2) AMM 36-11-34-000-001
- On shelf 96VU, connect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP between connector 1HA2-AA/4D and the ground ASM 362201.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector
- Replace BMC-2 [1HA2] AMM 36-11-34-000-001 and AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
- Do a visual inspection of the sensing elements and cables on engine 2 pylon loop B.
- Replace the sensing element or cable AMM 36-22-15-000-802 and AMM 36-22-15-400-802.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC2 AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
- Disconnect the connector between cable 102HF2 and sensing element 101HF2.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
- Replace the CABLE-CONNECTING, R PYLON LOOP B [102HF2] ESPM 204422.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
- Do a check and repair the wiring between pin AA/4D of BMC2 (1HA2) and the cable 102HF2 ASM 362201.
- Connect all the cables or connectors disconnected.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC2 (1HA2) AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
- Connect all the cables or connectors disconnected.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC2 (1HA2) AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
- Disconnect the connector between cable 103HF2 and sensing element 106HF2.
- Connect the connector between cable 102HF2 and sensing element 101HF2.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
- Disconnect the connector between cable 104HF2 and sensing element 101HF2.
- Connect the connector between cable 103HF2 and sensing element 106HF2.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
* If the impedance is less than 17 kOhms:
- Replace the SENSING ELEMENT-OVHT, R PYLON LOOP B [101HF2] AMM 36-22-15-000-803 and AMM 36-22-15-400-803.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC-2 [1HA2] AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
* If the impedance is more than 17 kOhms:
- Disconnect the connector between cable 105HF2 and sensing element 106HF2.
- Connect the connector between cable 104HF2 and sensing element 101HF2.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
** If the impedance is more than 10 kOhms:
- Replace the SENSING ELEMENT-OVHT, R PYLON LOOP B [106HF2] AMM 36-22-15-000-802 and AMM 36-22-15-400-802.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC-2 [1HA2] AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
** If the impedance is less than 10 kOhms:
- Replace the CABLE-CONNECTING, R PYLON LOOP B [104HF2] and CABLE-CONNECTING, R PYLON LOOP B [105HF2] ESPM 204422.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC-2 [1HA2] AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
- Replace the CABLE-CONNECTING, R PYLON LOOP B [103HF2] ESPM 204422.
- Connect all the cables or connectors disconnected.
- Do a check of the impedance read on the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP.
* If the impedance is less than 10 kOhms:
- Do a check and repair the wiring between pin AA/5D of BMC2 (1HA2) and cable 103HF2 ASM 362201.
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC2 (1HA2) AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
* If the impedance is more than 10 kOhms:
- Disconnect the 9240SI CONTROLLER-LOOP from the BMC2 connector.
- Install BMC2 (1HA2) AMM 36-11-34-400-001.
- Refer to Para. 4.B.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
