Open Pressure Relief Door on Engine 2 Fan Cowl

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU WORK ON THE ENGINE COMPONENTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS CAN STAY HOT FOR UP TO ONE HOUR.

A. Not applicable. No confirmation test is necessary.

B. Job Set-up
   (1) Safety Precautions
     (a) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
       1 Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
     (b) Make sure that the engine 2 shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
       1 Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/2 pushbutton switch is off.
       2 Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 2.
   (2) Get Access
     (a) Put an access platform in position.
4. Fault Isolation

A. Maintenance Procedure
   (1) Do these steps:
     (a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the pressure relief door 448BR :
       1 Make sure that there is no damage to these components:
  • The hinges
  • The spring loaded latches
  • The lanyards
  • The door panel.
       2 If necessary, replace damaged component(s).
     (b) Examine the engine 2 for damage and/or air leakage. Carefully examine the air ducts. Repair as necessary.
     (c) After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not continue.
5. Close-up
Subtask 36-14-00-860-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform.
   (3) Remove the warning notice(s).
