A. Not applicable.
4. Fault IsolationCAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WITH THE SEMI-FLEXIBLE SENSE LINE. DEFORMATION OF THE RIGID PART OR LARGE DEFORMATION OF THE FLEXIBLE PART CAN QUICKLY CAUSE LEAKAGE.
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES DURING DISCONNECTION OF THE SENSE LINE, ONE TO MAINTAIN THE FIXED NUT AND THE SECOND ONE TO LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE SENSE LINE COUPLING.
NOTE: For the test of the engine bleed-air system, Airbus recommends to use bleed test set P/N 98L36103002000 for more accuracy.

- Do a check of the the unions and clamps of the sense line between the fan-air valve control-thermostat (7170HM) and the fan air valve (9HA2).
(2) If the unions are correctly tightened:
- Do a check of the filter of the fan-air valve control-thermostat (7170HM).
- Clean the THERMOSTAT-FAN AIR VALVE CTL [7170HM] in the overhaul facility or replace it with a new or a clean one AMM 36-11-43-000-003 and AMM 36-11-43-400-003.
- Do the functional test of the opening of the fan air valve AMM 36-11-54-720-001.
- Replace the VALVE-FAN AIR, ENG2 [9HA2] AMM 36-11-54-000-001 and AMM 36-11-54-400-001.
