A. Test
Not applicable, the fault is evident.
4. Fault IsolationNot applicable, the fault is evident.
Subtask 35-10-00-810-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
Subtask 35-10-00-810-057-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - replace the CYLINDER-OXYGEN STORAGE [5750HM] AMM 35-11-41-000-001 AMM 35-11-41-400-001.
A. If the test confirms the fault:
(1) Make sure that there is sufficient airflow in the work area. This is to prevent a high oxygen concentration that can cause explosive fires.
(2) Bleed the applicable oxygen cylinder(s) 5750HM1(5750HM2) as follows:
(a) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of the overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
At the same time, push and hold the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob on the mask regulator.
1 Keep them pushed for a minimum of three seconds.
2 When you can no longer hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
(c) Do the above bleeding again at the F/O oxygen-mask stowage box.
(d) Assemble the tools.
a Get a 98D35208729000 TOOL-DPRSS,TEST O2 and make sure that its bleed valve is closed.
b Connect a HOSE - BLEED that has a minimum length of 40 m (131.24 ft.) to the 98D35208729000 TOOL-DPRSS,TEST O2.
c Put the other end of the HOSE - BLEED far away from the aicraft.
d Tell all persons not to stay:
f Connect the 98D35208729000 TOOL-DPRSS,TEST O2 to the applicable oxygen-system test-port 5755HM1(5755HM2).
2 Second tool assembly:
a Get a HOSE - BLEED that has a length of approximately 1 m (3.28 ft.).
b Connect a VALVE - BLEED on one end of this HOSE - BLEED.
c Make sure that the VALVE - BLEED is closed.
d Connect a 110111-03 COUPLING-OXYGEN QUICK DISCONNECT802857-01 COUPLING or equivalent on the other end of the HOSE - BLEED.
e Connect a HOSE - BLEED that has a minimum length of 40 m (131.24 ft.) to the VALVE - BLEED.
f Put the other end of the HOSE - BLEED far away from the aicraft.
g Remove the blanking cap from the applicable oxygen-system test-port 5755HM1(5755HM2).
h Tell all persons not to stay:
(e) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of the overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
(g) Keep the bleed valve open until you cannot hear the sound of the oxygen flow.
(h) When you cannot hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
(j) Put the blanking cap on the applicable oxygen-system test-port 5755HM1(5755HM2).
(3) Put a label on the defective oxygen cylinder(s) to tell persons that it is (they are) unserviceable.
(4) Replace the applicable OXYGEN CYLINDER [5750HM1] and/or OXYGEN CYLINDER [5750HM2] AMM 35-11-41-000-802 AMM 35-11-41-400-802.
- Make sure that the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend on).
At the same time, push and hold the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob on the mask regulator.
1 Keep them pushed for a minimum of three seconds.
2 When you can no longer hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
- Release the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob.
- Release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY KNOB IS NOT IN THE EMERGENCY POSITION. IF IT IS IN THE EMERGENCY POSITION, THERE CAN BE A LEAK OF OXYGEN.
a Make sure that the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob is not in the emergency position. (c) Do the above bleeding again at the F/O oxygen-mask stowage box.
(d) Assemble the tools.
NOTE: As an alternative, you can use one of these two assemblies.
1 First tool assembly: a Get a 98D35208729000 TOOL-DPRSS,TEST O2 and make sure that its bleed valve is closed.
b Connect a HOSE - BLEED that has a minimum length of 40 m (131.24 ft.) to the 98D35208729000 TOOL-DPRSS,TEST O2.
c Put the other end of the HOSE - BLEED far away from the aicraft.
d Tell all persons not to stay:
- In the aircraft, and
- In a 200 m (656.18 ft.) radius area around the bleeding area.
f Connect the 98D35208729000 TOOL-DPRSS,TEST O2 to the applicable oxygen-system test-port 5755HM1(5755HM2).
- In the aircraft, and
- In a 200 m (656.18 ft.) radius area around the bleeding area.
(e) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of the overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
- Push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend goes off).
(g) Keep the bleed valve open until you cannot hear the sound of the oxygen flow.
(h) When you cannot hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
- Make sure that the pressure gage(s) on the applicable oxygen cylinder(s) 5750HM1(5750HM2) show(s) 0 psi (0.00 bar).
- Remove the tool assembly from the applicable oxygen-system test-port 5755HM1(5755HM2).
