Loss of the DME1 Data on the RMI

1. Possible Causes

RMI-VOR/ADF/DME [21FN]
wiring of the DME1 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block
INTRG-DME, 1 [2SD1]
wiring of the DISTANCE DATA OUTPUT 2 bus from the DME1 interrogator (2SD1) to the first terminal block

A. Test
(1) Do the functional test of the DME AMM 34-51-00-720-001.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 34-57-00-810-060-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. If during the test, the left window does not give the DME1 distance values:

(1) If it does not come into view and if the left window of the RMI shows dashes:

(2) If it does not come into view and if the left window of the RMI is blank:

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the DME1 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block ASM 345701.

(3) If it comes into view and if the left window of the RMI is blank:

(a) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:

(b) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:

1 If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the DISTANCE DATA OUTPUT 2 bus from the DME1 interrogator (2SD1) to the first terminal block ASM 345701.
