1. Possible Causes

RECEIVER-ADF, 2 [2RP2]
wiring of the BEARING OUTPUT BUS 2 bus from the ADF2 receiver (2RP2) to the first terminal block
RMI-VOR/ADF/DME [21FN]
wiring of the ADF2 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block

A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the ADF AMM 34-53-00-710-002.

4. Fault Isolation

A. If during the test, on the RMI, the ADF2 pointer does not indicate the station set:

(1) If no flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND:

(2) If the flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND:

(a) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:

(b) If the BITE test does not gives a maintenance message:

1 If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the BEARING OUTPUT BUS 2 bus from the ADF2 receiver (2RP2) to the first terminal block ASM 345701.

(3) If the flag comes into view only on the RMI:

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the ADF2 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block ASM 345701.
