1. Possible Causes
  • RECEIVER-VOR/MKR, 2 [3RS2]
  • wiring of the OMNI BEARING OUTPUT 2 bus from the VOR/MARKER 2 receiver (3RS2) to the first terminal block
  • RMI-VOR/ADF/DME [21FN]
  • wiring of the VOR2 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block

3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 34-57-00-720-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Test
Do the functional test of the VOR/MKR (test of the VOR reception and identification) AMM 34-55-00-720-001.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 34-57-00-810-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If during the test, on the RMI, the VOR1 pointer does not move:
  • make sure that the red flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND.
   (1) If no flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND:
   (2) If the flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND:
     (a) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:
  • Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
     (b) If the BITE test does not gives a maintenance message:
       1 If the fault continues:
  • do a check and repair the wiring of the OMNI BEARING OUTPUT 2 bus from the VOR/MARKER 2 receiver (3RS2) to the first terminal block ASM 345701.
   (3) If the flag comes into view only on the RMI:
     (a) If the fault continues:
  • do a check and repair the wiring of the VOR2 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block ASM 345701.

B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
