VOR 1 System Inoperative

1. Possible Causes

RECEIVER-VOR/MKR, 1 [3RS1]
wiring of the OMNI BEARING AND SIGNAL MKR OUTPUT 2 bus from the VOR/MKR receiver 1 (3RS1) to the first terminal block
DMC-1 [1WT1]
wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 1 (1WT1) to the first terminal block
DMC-3 [1WT3]
wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 3 (1WT3) to the first terminal block
DMC-2 [1WT2]
wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block

3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 34-55-00-720-052-A

A. Test
Do the functional test of the VOR/MKR (Test of the VOR reception and identification) AMM 34-55-00-720-001.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 34-55-00-810-065-A

A. If on the two NDs:
. the VOR 1 data do not come into view
. the red flag is shown:
- do the BITE test of the VOR/MKR AMM 34-55-00-740-002.
(1) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:

Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.

(2) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:

replace the RECEIVER-VOR/MKR, 1 [3RS1] AMM 34-55-31-000-001 and AMM 34-55-31-400-001.

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the OMNI BEARING AND SIGNAL MKR OUTPUT 2 bus from the VOR/MKR receiver 1 (3RS1) to the first terminal block ASM 345501.

Subtask 34-55-00-810-066-A

B. If on the CAPT ND only:
. the VOR 1 data do not come into view
. the red flag is shown:
- make sure that on the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, the EIS DMC selector switch is at CAPT 3:
(1) If no:

replace the DMC-1 [1WT1] AMM 31-63-34-000-001 and AMM 31-63-34-400-001.

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 1 (1WT1) to the first terminal block ASM 345501.

(2) If yes:

replace the DMC-3 [1WT3] AMM 31-63-34-000-001 and AMM 31-63-34-400-001.

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 3 (1WT3) to the first terminal block ASM 345501.

Subtask 34-55-00-810-067-A

C. If on the F/O ND only:
. the VOR 1 data do not come into view
. the red flag is shown:
- make sure that on the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, the EIS DMC selector switch is at F/O 3:
(1) If no:

replace the DMC-2 [1WT2] AMM 31-63-34-000-001 and AMM 31-63-34-400-001.

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block ASM 345501.

(2) If yes:

replace the DMC-3 [1WT3] AMM 31-63-34-000-001 and AMM 31-63-34-400-001.

(a) If the fault continues:

do a check and repair the wiring of the VOR 1/MKR INPUT bus from the DMC 3 (1WT3) to the first terminal block ASM 345501.
