Loss of ATC/Mode S Transponder 2 Interface with FMGC 2 or ADIRU 2 or ATSU

1. Possible Causes

FMGC-2 [1CA2]
XPDR-ATC/MODE S, 2 [1SH2]
ADIRU-2 [1FP2]
ATSU [1TX1]
wiring between the FMGC 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2
wiring between the ADIRU 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2
wiring between the ATSU and the ATC/ModeS transponder 2

3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 34-52-00-740-124-A

A. Test

do the BITE test of the ATC 2 AMM 34-52-00-740-004.

4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 34-52-00-810-103-A

A. If the test gives the maintenance message ATC2:NO DATA FROM DAPS/ADS-B SRC:

replace the FMGC-2 [1CA2] AMM 22-83-34-000-001 and AMM 22-83-34-400-001.

(1) If the fault continues:

replace the XPDR-ATC/MODE S, 2 [1SH2] AMM 34-52-33-000-001 and AMM 34-52-33-400-001.

(2) If the fault continues:

replace the ADIRU-2 [1FP2] AMM 34-12-34-000-001 and AMM 34-12-34-400-001.

(3) If the fault continues:

replace the ATSU [1TX1] AMM 46-21-34-000-001 and AMM 46-21-34-400-001.

(4) If the fault continues:
(a) Remove the FMGC 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2.
(b) Do a check and repair the wiring between the FMGC 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2: between pins AB/11A, 11B and pins AA/6A, 6B ASM 345201.
(c) Install the FMGC 2 and the the ATC/Mode S transponder 2.
(5) If the fault continues:
(a) Remove the ADIRU 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2.
(b) Do a check and repair the wiring between the ADIRU 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2: between pins AB/5E, 6E and pins AA/2A, 2B ASM 345202.
(c) Install the ADIRU 2 and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2.
(6) If the fault continues:
(a) Remove the ATSU and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2.
(b) Do a check and repair the wiring between the ATSU and the ATC/ModeS transponder 2: between pins AA/2J, 2K and pins AA/2C, 2D ASM 345202.
(c) Install the ATSU and the ATC/Mode S transponder 2.
