1. Possible Causes
  • P/BSW-GPWS/FLAP MODE [7WZ]
  • GPWC [1WZ]
  • SLAT/FLAP CONTR.COMP. [21CV]
  • P/BSW-GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 [13WZ]
  • wiring of the GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 pushbutton switch (13WZ)

A. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the Enhanced GPWS AMM 34-48-00-740-002.
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message:
GPWS FLP MODE PB SW (7WZ)X/SFCC (21CV)/GPWC (1WZ)
  • on the GPWS section of panel 21VU:
    . make sure that the GPWS/FLAP MODE pushbutton switch (7WZ) is not pushed (the OFF legend is off).
    . make sure that the GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 pushbutton switch (13WZ) is not pushed (the ON legend is off).
  • on the center pedestal, on the panel 114VU, put the flap and slat control lever in the 0 position
  • do a check for ground at pin AB/9C of the GPWC (1WZ).
   (1) If there is ground:

  • put the flap and slat control lever in the FULL position
  • do a check for ground at pin AB/9C of the GPWC (1WZ).

  • do a check and repair the wiring of the GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 pushbutton switch (13WZ):
    . pin A/B3 to GPWC (1WZ) pin AB/9C
    . pin A/B2 to SFCC1 (21CV) pin AB/8B
