1. Possible Causes
- P/BSW-GPWS/FLAP MODE [7WZ]

A. If the BITE test gives the maintenance message:
GPWS FLP MODE PB SW (7WZ)X/SFCC (21CV)/GPWC (1WZ)

- on the GPWS section of panel 21VU:
. make sure that the GPWS/FLAP MODE pushbutton switch (7WZ) is not pushed (the OFF legend is off).
. make sure that the GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 pushbutton switch (13WZ) is not pushed (the ON legend is off). - on the center pedestal, on the panel 114VU, put the flap and slat control lever in the 0 position
- do a check for ground at pin AB/9C of the GPWC (1WZ).
- replace the P/BSW-GPWS/FLAP MODE [7WZ] ESPM 2045110.
- put the flap and slat control lever in the FULL position
- do a check for ground at pin AB/9C of the GPWC (1WZ).
- replace the GPWC [1WZ] AMM 34-48-34-000-001 and AMM 34-48-34-400-001.
- replace the SLAT/FLAP CONTR.COMP. [21CV] AMM 27-51-34-000-001 and AMM 27-51-34-400-001.
- replace the P/BSW-GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 [13WZ] ESPM 2045110.
- do a check and repair the
wiring of the GPWS/LDG FLAP 3 pushbutton switch (13WZ) :
. pin A/B3 to GPWC (1WZ) pin AB/9C
. pin A/B2 to SFCC1 (21CV) pin AB/8B
ASM 344801.
